  1. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 06:53 AM) Lifetime numbers: Lieber - 4.26 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 4:1 K:BB Ratio Garcia - 4.01 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 2:1 K:BB Ratio Vazquez - 4.35 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 3:1 K:BB Ratio I guess they all suck. If one were to casually read this site, I bet that person would believe that.
  2. I was totally pumped with the way the bullpen shut them down. MacDougal is fishing nasty, i dont think I have seen many pitchers who can throw a 97 MPH fastball that moves sideways like that. I dont know if anyone remembers a fastball he threw to Conine, but I swear it went from the left batters box all the way to Conines feet and he still swung at it, awesome. I swear Thornton throws the easiest 97 MPH fastball in the world.
  3. Ha, that guy is pulling names from a hat. Brian Anderson, Josh Fields, AND Ray liotta for Lee? No way in heck KW makes that deal for a rent a player who he traded away a little over a year ago.
  4. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) I'm assuming Carlos Lee never talked to Juan Gonzalez. Although my guess is they'll be talking over brunch about how they really spiff the bed in terms of passing up excellent deals. The main difference I see in that logic is that Lee has been pretty healthy his entire career, and Juan has been on the DL for more than half of his career. Barring a catastrophic injury in the next few months, Lee will be able to throw himself on the market and get a larger amount than 48 mil and a longer contract. I dont think Juan quite understood that Detroit was offering him an insane amount of money that he wasnt going to get anywhere else(ever again). I bet Juan understands now though.
  5. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 11:33 PM) I swear I saw this guy in some porno... was it "Smokey and the ass bandits"? I cant believe you are actually admitting watching a porno called "Smokey and the ass bandits"
  6. QUOTE(T R U @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) are you jokin? Cena was actually cool back then I hate him now His character may have been cool back then, but that rap sucked. If I was Lesnar, I would've F5ed his arse right there if I didnt bust up laughing first.
  7. Crazy Lady vs Calm Telemarketer Dont know if this has been posted prior to this, but you should listen until the end. This lady is hilarious. I wish I could have been Alex, he was awesome
  8. Bye Bye Pale Hose Talk, HELLO DIAMOND CLUB!!!
  9. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) This is when I liked Cena's work. I wish the match was included in that clip. Cena deserved to be totally squashed and potatoed for that awful "rap". Thats just awful. He should have left it with no beat in the background, it may have passed for humor. Maybe not. *shudder* That was real bad.
  10. QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 07:46 AM) I am amazed at the fans in the park this year-obviously some band wagon fans booing and criticizing. The effort is there from the team, its decisions that are hurting. I would not boo unless someone didnt hustle, and I have not seen that. This team is Home Run crazy. Try watching the Twins in BP-purposly hitting grounders & line drives-few fly outs and few home runs-of course we are not allowed in to see Sox BP, but I would bet its different. So only bandwagon fans criticize and boo this team, and the Sox only try to hit homeruns, yet everyone hustles and the decisions are hurting the team. Yep, I have no idea what you are talking about.
  11. This is what is messing with Billy Koch and his family, isnt it? What a strange and nasty virus/disease/whatever it is.
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 05:33 AM) No. You are entirely incorrect. I'll critcize when and where I think it's warrented. I just happen to believe Ozzie's knows a whole lot more about managing a baseball team than you will ever dream of knowing. Petulance is not flattering. i have found that SH1980 likes to broadbrush when he meets any sort of resistance or difference of opinion(even in jest). I poked fun at something a week ago and became part of "you and your ilk" very quickly.
  13. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) My first guess was performance enhancing drugs. Too much binaca will get your butt fired QUICK at ESPN. I totally agree with you.
  14. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) I've had it with this guy. lol
  15. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) Hey, it's only 23 runs, lets shut down these next two guys. Yep, its only 3 runs
  16. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 06:54 PM) I thought that got postponed! Damn games, always screwing with the purity of the game. i know, right? MLB should just give the players off for the entire week leading up to the trading deadline, and fill the entire week up with nothing but conjecture and trade rumors. QUOTE(spiderman @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 06:57 PM) ESPN was orginally reporting that Brandon McCarthy was involved - obviously, that turned out to wrong as Kenny Williams denied that McCarthy would be traded. Saying that, I wonder if ESPN jumped on this story without having their facts straight, and all of the other news organizations, including our 2 local sports stations just jumped on the national story. What say you ? Its the dog chasing the cat chasing the mouse chasing the flea chasing the dog
  17. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) After all the initial excitement this sure is slowing down i think the impending game with the Twins is drawing some attention away
  18. Hmmm, I dont know about mcCarthy for Soriano and bringing Macdougal in to replace McCarthy. hasnt macdougal spent a large part of his career on the DL?
  19. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 09:51 AM) Yeah, that's where I was going with my comment. I've never heard of him stepping up to any of "the boys", he seems to enjoy harassing the women in the company, that's where he gets in trouble with Vince (along with such other hard-core offenses as wardrobe violations). Well, his whole schtick is being the "Legend killer" bothering all of the "Legends" of the company, so at least he isnt Mark Henry squashing cruiserweights week in week out. The strange thing about Orton is that I feel he could be good, he is one hell of an athletic wrestler, and he can generate a lot of heat, but the guy is obviously and overwhelmingly in love with himself and that just shines through.
  20. Hangar, you need to enter yourself into a Sox-fan Correctional/rehabilitational facility that can teach you how to deal with the trials and tribulations of being an everyday sox fan. You can learn various stress relief techniques as: 1. Forgetting about worthless games that happened 3 years ago 2. Comprehending and understanding News media articles 3. Forgetting about worthless games that happened 16 years ago 4. recognizing post-worthy material in Pale Hose Talk vs post-worthy material(which is still debatable) in The Diamond Club. And the funny thing is, I remember the games you are referring to. Both of them. i believe that Texas started playing the song "The Night Chicago died" the next game or series vs the Sox, until MLB stepped in and told them to stop. And wasnt the Colon game the coming out party for Zambrano? I know those two faced each other at least once during the 2 crosstown series. Either way, when i read the title of this thread, I thought it was about games this year that made me mad. At which point I would have to say the first series against the Royals when the Royals took 2 of 3 after the Sox dropped 2 of 3 to the Indians. The Sox had no business losing any of those games
  21. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) He's a man, such a man He's a real, real man's man He's a man, such a man He's a real, real, real, real man's man He's a real, real, real, real man's man He's a man, such a man He's a real, real man's man As bad as that song (and the ensuing feud with X-Pac) was, you gotta admire a guy who embarassed the hell out of Goldberg. Do you mind rehashing that? I dont remember that match
  22. http://rajah.com/base/node/5959 What the hell causes that?
  23. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 23, 2006 -> 12:31 AM) I am wearing my new shirt tomorrow. Luck of the Irish and all. Its got to help. Get the silk screen press rolling, SSI71, this Irish laddie needs one of those shirts. Did you really make a shirt like that?
