The Sox are losing a lot of 9 inning games by one or two runs and losing some in extra innings. Management can either throw in the towel and tank the team for years by trading premium talent for prospects OR find a way to improve the team so that they can get over the hump and win many of those close games. I would pursue the latter course because the Sox have a few hitters who will start hitting and they have improved the depth of the pitching staff which will serve them as the season moves on. It isn't even baseball weather yet.

Buddy hate to be the bearer of bad news but you better understand that towel was thrown in last August

It's so fucking stupid! If he's good enough to come off the IL he sure as hell should be good enough to start! Why would you activate him if he's not ready to start?

This "roster crunch" on a 40 win team is just the cherry on top of this franchise's stupidity.

It is fucking stupid but remember Ozzie used to do that too and drive us crazy 😂

If what he said was right, then all major league teams are trying to grind down all of their pitchers.

It’s not all pitchers though, it’s Crochet who has had nothing but arm troubles with very little innings.  I hope this works out and Crochet is the ace we dream he can be but I’m not gonna sit here and say I agree with letting him throw 92 pitches in a meaningless April start in a lost season was something I wanted to see.  The Sox don’t get the benefit of the doubt in handling pitchers well recently so I don’t really see anything wrong with what he said

I'll add this... I also don't know what was happening behind closed doors.  What if Getz was on the losing (but right) side of 80% of the internal discussions during his time here?   I don't know enough about what he was doing day to day to say with confidence that he sucks.  I have enough evidence to be pretty sure that Hahn and Kenny sucked the last decade.

I would really like to give reinsdorf all of this benefit of the doubt but his entire life owning the Sox suggests I should not

The path of this argument pretty much always goes:

    1) "where are the MLB players who we developed?"

    2) I list out players that came through our system

    3) None of those count, because reasons. (took too long, had their own trainer, were just really good)

    4) I then list out the shitty, later round draft choices who topped out at AAA, but made prospect lists

    5) Everybody laughs because they "failed".

It's a dishonest argument. The White Sox are behind the league in development. It's stupid to declare that they didn't develop anybody, except for those they did, but none of the successes count.

This is all strawman bullshit.  I haven’t said s%*# to you all winter as you grandstanded this site regaling all of us on the great qualities of Chris Getz,  and how this organization will be better for him being in charge.  There is nothing more dishonest than that.   This team is exactly where they are for a lot of reasons and Chris is a part of that.  Every one of us has every reason in the world to say “this fucking sucks and I don’t like this at all” because they all pulled the rug out from under us.  Chris has zero minor league wins in his pocket from the time he took over to now.  That’s just true.  I know it bothers you but there is literally nothing to point to.  Not every player enters an organization as a star and some of them have been developed by their organizations and tapped into their potential.  The Sox have absolutely none of that

so pardon me if I’m a little dissatisfied with Getzy in his time as GM, he hasn’t proved s%*# in the entire time he has been with this organization including his time as a player

  6. If you are saying “where is the list of dynamite prospects that failed” aren’t you tacitly admitting that there was no development done, period.  We have nothing here.  The cupboard is empty, the man who used to curate the cupboard is now in charge.  Yay let’s eat, right

Depth in the secondary is also a pretty big one.  The DL has lost a decent amount of players.  They haven't been able to keep any of the RBs healthy.  Another WR depending what happens with the draft.

Secondary always could use more guys but this is actually a position the bears have developed extremely well the last few years with both draftees and UDFAs

I get wanting the kid, believe me, but they have SOOO many holes still to fill.

I think the holes to fill right now is exaggerated, and the thing is they have been using those draft picks to fill the holes it’s just via trade instead of selection.  Trading down from 9 isn’t going to fill every hole but drafting a elite WR might help you cover up some of those holes until the proper guy is there

  9. Lots of radio noise about the bears moving up to draft Harrison, I just can’t see it happening right now given their current and upcoming draft cache.  Would be pretty amazing to exit day 1 with those two though.  Honestly won’t be mad if it’s Nabers or Ozunze either

  10. I don’t know about you but it really feels like this organization is on the path of getting back to winning quickly.  Can feel it in my bones.  Maybe not my bones, more like my toenails.  Ok maybe not my toenails, I don’t feel it at all.  I’m just talking now
