  1. P'man in the 8th, c'mon Oz!!! Time to go to your guns!!
  2. Starting tonight, let's increase that GB lead back to 15!!!!!!!
  3. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) Aaron Rowand has got to do something here, he's been cold lately. So have most of the Sox bats lately.....
  4. Crap, sorry, late to the party. Can I join a league as well guys???
  5. If the Saints do move to SA, then IMO many NFL fans who haven't gone to an NFL game will now have a chance to do so, since it won't be so far away, distance-wise. Again, if the Saints do play the Bears in SA this year, I am sooooo there at the Alamodome!
  6. If Pauly does to go Denver, then does Melo or Pauly play at the 2? Melo doesn't have the quickness, and neither does Pauly to play the 2. Sounds to me that Denver might not be done shopping. A three-team trade all over again?
  7. Yep, unfortunately he made "The List"........whatever he did, I'm sure he learned his lesson and has moved forward. I'll say this though, that might have been a small motivator in wanting to prove himself this year, and boy, has he done so. IMO, he's back on the radar screen.

Did something push your button, Danman???? LOL, yes the K/BB is a good indicator, but your point is valid! It's dang too early to tell regarding Liotta's K factor. The guy just get people out. That's good enough for me. Hey, maybe that'll be a new t-shirt! Imagine....a picture of Liotta in the pitching stance, and the blurb underneath says "I just get people out". Priceless........
  9. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:15 AM) his curve. imho. OK, point taken, my friend! I wonder what Marte vs Stairs' stats are......
  10. I thought this was a Joe Borchard thread......... I'm one of Joe's biggest rooters as well, but after those comments, he's gonna go a la what's-his-face who was traded to Montreal.............
  11. Don Henley said it best: "Kick 'em when their up, kick em when their down......" Go get 'em boys!!!
  12. I'm on the outside looking in on this one...didn't see the game last night, but..... *Isn't Matt Stairs a great dead-eye fastball hitter? *And remind me what's Bobby Jenks' best pitch??? *And...did anyone get on Neal Cotts when he hit Aaron Guiel on Tuesday??? ***And after all that, don't we have a 7 game winning streak?*** Enough b****ing. The White Sox are winning. I'm sure during his winter eval, KW will remind Ozzie that he actually have ONE MORE LH in the pen. Meanwhile, the Sox are getting closer to clinch.
  13. Arnie Munoz....starter or reliever? Joe Borchard...trade bait or 4th outfielder for next year?? Ryan Sweeney....AAA promotion or another year at Birmingham to develop some power???
  14. QUOTE(rangercal @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) in other news .... Nebraska beat Maine! Go Huskers! Darn It! I lost that bet!!! Glad to see that UT is in rare kick-butt form. Vince Young = Heisman.
  15. But wait....is that Central Time??? Seriously, I bet the Hornets will be playing in either OKC, Baton Rouge or KC. The Saints will be playing in SA. Can you imagine trying to redo the Saints' calendar after LSU Tiger games? Can you imagine what that field would be like?
  16. Brent Barry, Manu Ginobili and Michael Finley can spell Bruce Bowen at the 3. Talk about flexibility. Don't forget to add Devin Brown, a San Antonio/UTSA native, to the mix as well. Brown is a RFA that would look DAMN good in a Bulls uniform, IMO. Scoring, defense and size (6'5"). Maybe Eddie Basden will be a Devin Brown clone. If that's the case, WOW. And...the Spurs drafted Romain Sato from Xavier last year that spent the whole year on IR for an "injury". 8 guards. Definitely bet that one or two will be traded. Having a Devin Brown-Ben Gordon battle at the 2 would be very interesting.

Can't wait for Serenity to come out. Going to the Drafthouse to see it. It's gonna be a blast. They're going to have sing-a-longs and all kinds of stuff there. If you haven't seen any of the episodes.....highly recommended.
  18. QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) WOOHOO..The Bears are ranked....32!!! So we're the worst team the world has ever seen...WOOHOO :headshake http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...5/scout.report/ Are those experts still thinking that Jonathan Quinn is still the QB? Put down the hatorade guys. Their defense should be Top 10, the offense should be a little offensive again though. I say middle of the pack.
  19. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) It sounds like they won't be playing in New Orleans for obvious reasons. So where does everyone think they'll end up playing. Las Vegas, St. Louis, Kansas City, somewhere near Louisiana? Not in San Antonio, that's for sure!!! How about Austin, TX? Seriously, KC, San Diego, OKC, Albuquerque at The Pit, or Las Vegas should be the top picks, since NO is a Western Conference team. I would love to see some NBA games at The Pit though!
  20. Right, All it takes is another Tim Duncan "severe ankle sprain" and the Spurs are dysfunctional offensive-wise. At that point, they may go with a 3-guard battle floor plan with Parker, Ginobili and Finley (at SF), while Nazr and Horry are patrolling the paint. But if the big guy ever goes down again....
  21. San Antonio has been asking for NFL for a number of years now for their city. They just might get their wish. Dallas and Houston probably is endorsing the NFL to have the Saints in Baton Rouge. The last thing those two cities want to see is another NFL team come to Texas. Although....if SA does get the Saints this year, that means there's a chance to see my Bears come to town on Nov. 8th!!! But trust me, neither the city of SA nor do I wanted to see NFL come here under these circumstances at all.
  22. Wouldn't be suprised if the Sox's farm system ranked around 5-7. With all the solid pitching they have accumulated in the last few years, plus OF depth, they should be in the mid-single digits. Plus depth at 3b and a little infield now in Getz will get the Sox a long way. Just keep it coming, baby!
  23. Lance will be all right. IMO, chalk one up to "tiring at the end of the year". How many innings, since his final year in college, has he pitched this year anyway? Betcha it's close to 175 IP combined. He'll be OK.
