  1. Baseball Instinct, LLC · 18 like this 2 minutes ago · Astros sign #1 pick Carlos Correa. Deal rumored to be around $5mm which is about $2.2mm under the slot. That will give them enough to sign either McCullers or Virant. Impressive haul if they land either.

  3. Scot Gregor ‏@scotgregor The more you watch Quintana pitch, the easier it is to see him replacing Humber or Floyd when Danks comes off DL
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 07:18 PM) Anyone think Tyler could put up Arencibia-type numbers if he played everyday? Arencibia's Numbers. Yep. Adam Dunn'esque. It won't hurt, that's for sure.

  8. Last 10 games for Kevan Smith. .410/.500/.718/1.218!!! 16 hits, 15 runs scored and 16 RBIs in his last 10. 6 walks and only 4 strikeouts. Has hit 2 HRs during that span, raising his season total to 3. Average up to .284.
  9. Well I was close, guessing a 1b. Keon Barnum. Keon Barnum Rank: 66 King HS (Fla.), Senior Height: 6'4", Weight: 220 Position: 1B DOB: 01/16/1993 Bats: L, Throws: L Commitment: Miami For a player to profile at first, teams will typically want to see plenty of power and run production potential. Barnum, a Florida prep product, has both. A big, strong physical specimen, Barnum can generate a lot of bat speed and has the ability to drive the ball to all parts of the ballpark. He shows most of his home run power to the pull side, but there's plenty of raw pop there all-around. Barnum's fine defensively at first, and some have even asked to see him play an outfield corner. Like many young hitters with power, Barnum will get long with his swing at times and try to muscle the ball out. The ability to make adjustments and have a more refined approach will likely come with time and experience.
