  1. What planet do you live on? In what way is the media majority NOT right wing? At the end of the day news media companies make their money selling to advertisers, and anything that upsets those people will be censored. Maybe you and I have a different opinion of what "right wing" is because I prefer to use the international context and by that standard both political parties in the US are right of center, with the GOP being radical right.
  2. The two political parties are so far apart on so many issues that reaching across the aisle feels like selling out your constituents. Congress is completely paralyzed, and it's a giant game of chicken. One side always caves, and the other always gets what they want by digging their heels in and throwing temper tantrums. The ideological gap is so huge that idk if we're going to be able to come together even when facing a non-human existential threat.
  3. I took it literally. My bad. Thanks.
  4. Not in the link I clicked on. Are you sure you sent me the right link? In that link they have a conversation with Dr. Bruce Aylward.
  5. I read carefully, and word for word. Nowhere in that article does it mention Dr. Fauci.
  6. It's not Tony Fauci, it's Dr. Bruce Aylward from the WHO. Fauci works for NIH.
  7. Idk if this was posted already, but this article states what measures need to be taken in order to not overwhelm the healthcare system. Most are not going to like what they're going to hear. https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-the-hammer-and-the-dance-be9337092b56
  8. That's not my opinion, that's the experts opinion. Basically all studies that I've seen say that large gatherings shouldn't be allowed until there's a vaccine, which is 12 months away in a best case scenario. I don't think everyone realizes what's about to happen. The cat is already out of the bag; the damage has already been done. Just accepting loss of life won't fix everything either. Read this study, and the measures that need to be taken over the next 18 months. Nobody's going to like what they're going to hear. https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-the-hammer-and-the-dance-be9337092b56
  9. I don't think 2021 is happening either, and then you have a labor dispute upcoming after that. The best case scenario for all sports is to resume in the fall of 2020 with no fans, and fall of 2021 with fans. We're probably 18 months from sports returning. It will be too late to save the 2021 baseball season by then.
  10. Out of all of the major cities in the country to live in, right now Chicago seems to be the best because the governor shut it down very early in the process. He was proactive rather than reactive. As such, we're probably going to end up with fewer cases than other major cities.
  11. Question is in the title, asking because I have no idea. I'd imagine it will be detrimental to every team with a young roster or rebuilding teams as all lose a year of valuable progression.

  13. Is greg the SoxTalk resident conspiracy theorist? Looks like it.
  14. Word is that Ebron wanted to go somewhere with an established, legit QB. He had zero interest in the Bears.
  15. Montgomery showed a lot when the line opened up holes for him. The problem is that wasn't often enough. Can't rack up yds rushing when you're getting hit in the backfield more than any RB in the NFL(IIRC)
  16. You just posted a Chief article, as if you agree with it. If your hockey credibility was already damaged in my mind, now it's destroyed. Chief is quite frankly the biggest meathead out there. If you agree with his takes, I can't help you. I'm done discussing hockey on SoxTalk. This is just too much. Chief is the Hockey equivalent of the McGowan callers on the Score during the Trestman Era Bears. Anyone who agrees with Chief loses all credibility instantly, and I know it's not worth arguing anymore. Bye.
  17. It's not like that with the stock(MLBPA licensed) players.
  18. You can get a 2 seamer up to 98-99 mph in the game if you give it max velocity, but it's something with the created minor leaguers where the velocities of all of the pitches affect each other. It's some sort of glitch. The MiLB player editing for pitchers doesn't behave the same as the stock players.
  19. No, it's a 2 seamer. It has sink. Like for Cordero I change his sinker to a 2 seamer because sinkers max out at 96mph in the game and both Cordero and Heuer have turbo (97-99 mph) sinkers.
  20. In the Show... go to "edit player" and make your own ratings. I usually only adjust the Sox ratings to make them what I think they should be. Also, need to mess around with player potential because the Sox got screwed there. Andrew Vaughn as a 88/100 potential kiss my ass. Also what sucks is that I can't make Heuer throw a 98 mph 2 seam fastball like he's supposed to be able to do in real life.
  21. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/19/health/coronavirus-age-victims/index.html 20% of hospitalizations and 12% of ICU visits are between the ages of 20-44. It seems nobody is safe from this except kids.
