  1. I think if you sign Keuchel to a 3 year deal, you're waving goodbye to Rodon. I'm fine with that. He's too unreliable.
  2. The more I think about it, the more I think it is time to accept that Rodon's White Sox career has been derailed by injuries, and it is time for the Sox to move on. There is no reason to waste anymore time with him. 2021 would be his first full year back from injury and his walk year, I think his time with the Sox is ova. He's too unreliable to extend.
  3. Yeah, I'm with you here. It's going to be an interesting decision to watch. is it worth 14M for a shot at 1 good year out of the guy? He really has turned into the Sox version of Mark Prior.
  4. Not necessarily. Kopech and Cease will be here next year, and Lopez and Giolito look to be taking big steps this year. SP isn't as dire as it seems. They still have Dunning returning from TJS as well. Gerrit Cole would go a long way to stabilizing the rotation, but idk if they would pay him. They are going to have to buy some relief pitching though.
  5. This is almost a guaranteed run for the Sawx
  6. This is a serious question: Rodon is in his 1st arb year next season and could the Sox just cut bait?
  7. Haha. If ya can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen
  8. Jenks curve was only good because of his 100 mph cheese. Once Jenks started throwing 96 his curve lost a lot of effectiveness.
  9. Those aren't his good ones. Those are the ones he's trying to hang on purpose for a strike.
  10. Most of the time when Gio throws a good one it ends up in the dirt anyway. His issue with the pitch is that he has to hang it to throw a strike with it.
  11. He should save it for guys he's been attacking with high fastballs when he has 2 strikes on the hitter and is ahead
  12. He gets a metric shit ton of mileage out of the high fastball. He reminds me of Chris Young the pitcher before he got hurt.
  13. The weird thing is that he never threw a slider until 2018. His curve was great in 2017, but as soon as he started throwing the slider he lost the curve
  14. Idk, the bullpen is pretty taxed. He might get sent back out there.
  15. Occasionally he'll throw a good one but he should save it for a show me pitch and it should be the wipeout version.
  16. His slider has passed his curve. Slider and change are great. His problem with his curve is the same as Fathom said. He has to hang it to throw a strike.
  17. He's been dealing with a lot of those lately.
