  1. That would be Ruiz. He has potential but he's got to come up with a quality breaker. The slider isn't doing it. He should experiment with other offspeed pitches
  2. So who goes down after this game? Marshall, Ruiz or Vieira?
  3. I know. Read above post. You're seeing individual players taking steps forward but it isn't translating into wins yet. I hope it does sooner rather than later
  4. I'm just frustrated that there is improvement in the micro level (individual players) but it isn't helping improvement at the macro level (wins)
  5. The Orioles are supposed to be historically bad. You don't think that losing both games of a DH to them is an epic failure? Splitting is acceptable for where the Sox are at but they are about to go 2-4 vs the worst team since the 2003 Tigers.
  6. Sorry not fun bad, funny bad. Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and laugh. And also when I said I was out I meant watching the game, but not necessarily posting.
  7. Haha true. This DH changed my mind PDQ. Just an epic failure.
  8. Have the Sox done anything to prove they're not truly awful ? Serious question.
  9. I've gone from thinking they're about to turn a corner to this rebuild is a complete disaster in a week.
  10. If that is true, Moncada and Lopez are going to make nice trade pieces when they have to start over in 2022.
  11. No, but maybe we could bring back that thread. It was never meant to be serious when I created it, but I might have to rethink that lol. FU Uncle Jerry
  12. This is just funny at this point. All you can do is shake your head and laugh.
  13. Defense. I don't think that I've seen that before. Whaaa?
  14. Rodon is what he is. He's a #4 starter with command issues and one great pitch. He's incredibly frustrating as a fan because you think he should be better than he is.
  15. If Nova was giving a 4.60 ERA and going 6 innings each start it would be fine. He's more like 2016 Shields.
  16. He's been around the longest, he's been injured, and has a history of not throwing strikes and going past the 5th inning. He isn't the same guy he was before his shoulder injury. I'm not sure he can get by at 90-93. His fastball command is nowhere near good enough. Quite frankly, I still see room for growth with Giolito and Lopez but I don't see any with Rodon. There is some deterioration of stuff with Rodon after his injury, but that is to be expected.
  17. Let me rephrase that: they gave up a kid that could become something, even if a longshot. If they gave up someone like Gillaspie or Engel I wouldn't complain. Nova was a salary dump and they gave up some kid in the DSL for him. Idk, maybe I'm overreacting to Tatis but if so, whatever.
  18. The fact that they gave up a player, even if he becomes nothing, is inexcusable
