  1. Yes, exactly. They'd have to time it just right. Sanders might not make it out of the 2nd round, but you never know with RBs.
  2. They've decided to nickname him "Magical Madrigal" w/e
  3. I hope the Bears can find some way to jump up into the top of the 3rd round or bottom of the 2nd for Miles Sanders. I really like that guy. Pace seems to as well, and as we all know he's not afraid of jumping up to get his guy. They have plenty of draft capital next season, as long as they avoid moving either of their 2 2nds I have no problem with them moving up. I don't doubt that the Bears are going to use the Raiders 2nd to move up to the bottom of the 1st round in 2020 as well.
  4. It isn't really that, it is that they're going to run out of spots for OFers again. They're already struggling in Birmingham. In baseball especially, there is no reason not to take the best player on your board each and every round. (other than slot considerations) I get that. There is just a huge OF logjam at A+ and AA and adding another OF to the mix doesn't sound prudent unless they're going to trade a couple this summer. There is also this little weird thing called options, and Basabe/Adolfo only have 1 left after this season. Their injuries are killing the Sox in that regard. Both guys might have to be moved along to a team that can afford to see what they have at the MLB level, as much as it would hurt.
  5. He's going to go on the IL to try to find it in Charlotte. If he doesn't find it, he'll take his money and leave. That is what I meant. Poor explanation of what I meant the first time. The Sox need to find a 3rd and 4th reliable bullpen guy, and Jones has lost too much to be one of them currently. Try Fry, Ruiz and Burr, and see what happens. If not them, next man up. Hamilton would be next on the list, followed by Bummer. Obviously we know Minaya and Covey aren't MLB pitchers.
  6. He wouldn't, but it's either that or DFA. He's done if he can't regain some velo. He's going to go on the IL with some injury and try to get some back and if he doesn't it is DFA time.
  7. Jones with a phantom injury that lasts the entire season.
  8. Hopefully Lodolo gains enough helium to go 3rd, I'd appreciate them taking the best LHP in the draft class. They're really thin at LHP in the system. I don't want another 1B or OF. If he doesn't, so be it.
  9. I didn't see that Hamilton was sent to AAA.
  10. Doesn't there need to be one more move, if they're activating 2 players? Doesn't someone else need to go down?
  11. I'm not religious, but praise Jesus! LOL. May he be forever banished to Charlotte during the remainder of his days with the White Sox organization.
  12. If nothing else, let's hope 2019 is Moncada's coming out party.
  13. 100% agreed. 93 mph isn't going to do it from him.
  14. They're not going to be able to trade him for shit. He's lost his mojo.
  15. Only Rodon, not everyone. OMFG Yolmer. What a schmo.
  16. They'd be stupid not to if Lopez and Giolito continue to develop. OTOH, it seems a lot of pitchers league wide are coming out throwing slower than their spring velocities. Maybe it is just the cold weather, or maybe there's more to it.
  17. AL Cy Young is wiiide open this year with Kluber looking weird and Sale losing everything.
  18. As did I. That was an absolute moon shot that somehow didn't leave the park. Unlucky.
  19. Rodon's breaking balls(slider/slurve) are electric today.
