    Rendon Thread

OMG, STFU Rick, Kenny anyone else....Go into stealth mode. If they go after Cole/Stras/Rendon and strike out again, they're going to let other teams grab deals and be left holding Mr. Johnson again. The torches and pitchforks will be out in full force at 35th and Shields.

    A Realistic Offseason

I think that if the Sox go after a big fish this winter it is more likely to be Rendon or Strasburg than Cole.

    NFL Thread 2019-2020

Mack has been invisible since Hicks got injured. Makes you wonder just how good he actually is. Lawrence Taylor clone, he is not.

Eloy snubbed for ROY final 3...

Vladito is going to end up at 1B eventually and then DH. He's going to hit well enough to still be valuable there. He's just a big boy. Not much people can do when they're predisposed to be huge like that.

    Zack Wheeler Thread

No, but I don't think he'd like it much. As long as it's true that he doesn't care unless it happens to him, then he makes sense again.

    Zack Wheeler Thread

As a lot of people have said, in a vacuum Bumgarner makes sense, but what happens in the dugout the first time Anderson, Moncada or Eloy pimp a HR?

    Trade Candidates: Hitters

Could someone make this this thread for pitchers as well?

    A Realistic Offseason

If they're going to trade Lopez for a RF, they should target Nimmo, not Mazara.

    Bye Jose.

    Predict the Market: FA Contracts

There is because it opens up the possibility of a trade of either Lopez or Cease.

    NFL Thread 2019-2020

Optimistic take: Well, now the offenses are on a level playing field. Pessimistic take: Osweiler torched them for 381 yds and 2 TD last year

The Sox just should have taken Bleday.

    Agreed.

Again, there's going to be more competition for Wheeler than Cole or Strasburg. I'd be shocked if they landed Wheeler. I think he's everyone's #1 target actually.

    Cole or Strasburg?

Nah, the Sox are the empty restaurant that's been shut down for multiple health code violations.

    Rick Hahn's Resume as GM

Awful. He should have been fired before the rebuild.

Something I want everyone to know.

Yeah, I've rubbed a lot of people the wrong way because of my (admittedly so) strong pro-labor and anti-managment stances. Plus I think that all economics is voodoo economics and that conventional wisdom on the subject is bullshit. Despite what people might think, I think that capitalism is fine as long as businesses have a fucking conscience. Without a conscience, the system can't work as intended. It just cannibalizes itself and devolves into fascism. I think that democracy is more important than any economic system. There are other people who think that capitalism is more important than any governmental structure. The division in this country comes from people that think that their political beliefs have gone beyond opinion and into the realm of right vs wrong. I will always think that human rights are a right vs wrong issue but I will concede opinion on other topics.

Something I want everyone to know.

So for the last couple months I feel like I've done a lot of damage to my reputation as a poster. I've put a lot of things out there that I wish I didn't, and it took me until this weekend to realize what was going on. I'm pretty messed up right now. Not only am I dealing with being on the autistic spectrum, I've been dealing with chronic pain for the better part of 20 years. About two years ago, it started to get really bad and it got so bad by the end of 2018 that I couldn't do anything anymore other than sit at home. I tried to fight through it as much as I could but it just kept getting worse. In April, I decided to have surgery to hopefully correct my issues. I've been dealing with the after effects of it(Physical therapy and another surgery) for the better part of the last 6 months. I'm not handling it well. I haven't been able to do much of anything for 6 months. Even so, the PT isn't far enough along that I can work or go do things I enjoy yet. Please forgive me for being an uber grouch for the last 3 months or so because I'm pretty pissed off about how long this is taking and the rate of progress. I'm going to try not to post angry anymore and sit on them for 30 mins before submitting. I'm a lot more testy and assholish than normal right now. I have just started to realize I've been posting angry way too much. Please be kind. Cheers, Parkman.

    A Realistic Offseason

I don't want to hear the Sox linked to anyone big until the ink is dry. If they're in on the big guys, I want them to be the "Mystery Team" this winter.

    A Realistic Offseason

I think this offseason is going to go one of 2 ways: they're going to sign one of Cole/Strasburg and Grandal with piecemeal the remainder of the holes, Or they're going to bargain shop like the Twins did last year thinking it will work for them. A bargain winter: Keuchel, Wood for Rotation Dickerson/EE for DH Trade for Mazara or Polanco for RF

    A Realistic Offseason

I think if the Sox go bargain hunting this offseason they're going to alienate their fanbase, and there will be a lot of JR/Dollar Bill comparisons.
