    Tax Refunds

Rabbit, curious the best way to go about refinancing. I think it would help me knock out my student loans a lot faster. I have about $25k through Navient between 6-7.2%, about $11k through Mohela at about 6.8%, and another $2600 at about 5.2% through Discover. If I bank through Chase do you recommend just going in there to talk to them about consolidating or how do you find the best way to do it?

    Tax Refunds

Surprisingly, my wife and I (file jointly) received our largest return to date. We purchased our first home in May of 2017 so not sure if 2018 being our first full year in the house had anything to do with it. Also had a child in 2016...Again, not sure how much that plays into your tax return, but I was pleasantly surprised when we filed a couple weeks ago.
  3. I think it's because it was believed if the Dodgers were to land Realmuto then current Dodgers OF's could have been a part of that deal, which would affect Pederson being moved.
  4. Agreed. At some point those guys need to get jobs. If Harper/Machado remained unsigned a week or 2 into Spring Training I expect to see a lot of these guys start signing.
  5. Prove what? It's not like he had a disappointing season that he has to make up for. I don't see how things would be any different next offseason.
  6. Yeah this doesn't necessarily seem good for the Sox, however at the end of the day Manny probably takes the best offer.
  7. Which doesn't mean anything. It's Nightengale.
  8. Buster can't actually believe his own report, can he? He has to know he's being fed the wrong info. What's in it for him?
  9. So tired of hearing about stuff like this. Why are there so many sicko's out there
  10. Why do you see it as a bad thing that Heyman is also confirming the 7 year thing? If no one is beating that offer then who cares? If they do top it then it sounds like the Sox are prepared to up their offer.
  11. That would be sick if that happened so Witt or Rutschman would be available for the Sox at #3.
  12. Do you really consider yourself to be a White Sox fan?
  13. I finally ignored him. It's just too much to handle. I highly doubt his info was correct. he was saying the Sox offered Harper 12 years $424 mill or something like that.
  14. Lol so is that how we should feel about you?
  15. What am I missing with Herrera? Stats seem solid. Why do you consider him toast?
  16. As long as he will play 3rd base. Not interested in him at SS.
  17. I'm going to assume we aren't getting any of Corbin, Harper, or Machado. I would love all 3 of them so if that happens then that's amazing, but I am going to go with, what I think to be, a more realistic offseason. As most of us can agree, the Sox are still a couple years away from having a good majority of their talent up in the majors. That is why I would prefer 1-3 year deals for any of these players. 3rd Base: Donaldson or Moustakas Outfield: Brantley and McCutchen Starting Pitcher: Ryu and Morton I think these moves would make us competitive while being infused with our younger talent as they show they are ready over the next couple years. Get the youngsters in the frame of mind to win when they get called up.

    2018 Films thread

Saw Mid 90's this weekend. Was short, but really enjoyed it. Nice work by Jonah Hill.
  19. I think it comes down to 2 things: Does Madrigal develop as anticipated and then take over as a gold glove caliber 2nd baseman, which could then move Moncada to 3rd or Do the Sox sign Machado this offseason or Arenado next offseason, thus making Madrigal a super sub or Moncada/Madrigal trade bait to upgrade at a different position.
