  1. Found myself pulling for Boston for the first time that I can remember. Hope the Braves beat the Asstros.
  2. Tuned in just in time to see the Final Destination sequel starring Eloy.
  3. Great news! Hopefully they make him wear a bicycle helmet, life jacket, and fireproof uniform when he's in left field.
  4. I'd hate for the Sox to trade anything meaningful for a guy who would be playing out of position for less than half a season, and then walk. I'm all for it if they feel like taking on his salary, and sending nothing significant in return for it. I don't think the Rockies are going to be asking for nothing of significance, though...
  5. I loved that series and felt pretty confident about a repeat after how it went. Then, the Sox missed the playoffs and the Cardinals won the World Series.
  6. Happy night. I held out in the promise of Rodon in the rotation, but definitely lost a lot of hope after the last injury. I felt like the organization had moved on from him even before the 2020 return, and I probably had at that point as well. I liked that the Sox got him back for this season as a roster option, and this is all just great to see. Congrats!
  7. What the fuck is going on with espn1000? What a fucking garbage station. At least two days in a row, probably more. Walkie-talkies would be better.
  8. The least surprising thing with this franchise would be Pace sticking around to oversee another rebuild.
  9. If they are going to decide that they cannot afford to pay Hendriks, hope Colome can walk the rope another year? There are worse things, and this organization is capable of them, so I guess I'm down. There are people that can hopefully wipe it up if Colome shits it up.
  10. I'm sorry if I offended you, Did you think Donald Trump would be a great owner? The initial suggestion by ron was a joke, I assumed.
  11. He would offer a signed Brent Lillibridge batting glove for $$$ (unmarked bills) + Darvish as a throw in, not budge when rejected, because art of the deal, go play a shitty and falsified round of golf, probably from in front of the women's tee, and then after the Padres acquired Darvish from the Cubs and the ink was dry, yell until the deaf would hear him that Kopech, Vaughn, and Rick Hahn's firstborn were also part of the rejected deal all along. And that's exactly how that would go.
  12. No, she meant #8 as it was written. This is a mockery of a "helpful tips" guideline that was issued by a large bank (IIRC) and went viral just as shit was hitting the fan earlier in the year, in light of the Ricketts' crying poor while daily meals aren't a sure thing for some people who had gotten used to that darn luxury.
  13. Haven't ever really been a holiday movie person. There are movies that I'm in the mood to watch during the holiday season, though, which don't have anything to do with the holidays. I'll watch the Potter movies if they're on (preferred the books to the movies considerably), for example. The Brosnan Bond movies as well, for some reason. Just watched Christmas Vacation for the first time last year thanks to my Fiancee. I liked it. I've seen the heavy hitters (the one with the tongue frozen to the light pole/bb gun and the one where the main character sees the difference he's made in other people's lives) probably once all the way through, at a very young age, and just haven't ever felt the desire to revisit. They were never a big thing in my household growing up. Also haven't seen Elf or Polar Express all the way through yet. I love Friday After Next.
  14. Wow. This came out of nowhere. I wasn't a Kasper fan early on, but came around to him and enjoy listening to his call. We're fortunate as Sox fans. Looking forward to tuning in!
  15. In my neighborhood the Christmas decorations came up extra early this year.
  16. When that phrasing first popped up, I thought it had to have originated at some Russian troll farm. So many better ways.
  17. What a season- glad he was able to cap it with his first playoff appearance. Congrats.
  18. I've felt for a long time that Jerry, at best, doesn't give a shit about that. Often times, it has felt like he has a legitimate aversion to the Sox becoming Chicago's team (or the AL Central's team).
  19. Jerry's latest FU to the fanbase. The LaRussa hiring has been his greatest to date. What an absolutely masterful way to bring a big dark cloud around one of the brightest teams in baseball. For...reasons...
