  1. Typical, you run and hide behind your or And this from a man who has posted 15,000 times how right he is . . .
  2. I know it's hard to imagine but there are early season bandwagon jumpers at Wrigley. The core Cub fan is appalled at this. The "I'm just here to be scene" crowd thinks it's a cool story to tell their friends the next day over coffee at Starbucks, and the idiots are having a field day. Thankfully they aren't at the cell with this s***.

Would that be around Cimarron, New Mexico?
  4. while you are taking back usage, could we get back community service? t use to be a good thing. People wanted to volunteer and improve their communities. Now community service is viewed as a punishment. America is losing something that made us great and word usage is partly to blame.
  5. The tiger later said "it was nice, soft and chewy on the outside but crunchy in the middle. The only problem was an hour later I was hungry again." I know, I'm going to hell.
  6. which of about 100 posters here are you talking about
  7. Very nice. I'm glad to see you are using your time wisely when they take away the internet.
  8. I thought it was about Pudge Rodriguez
  9. Even the umps realize how good it is for baseball if the Cubs are winning. :puke
  10. But other words can't be what we want them to be. Just ask PA and his pet word for stupid

I am told this is the Blue Angles dropping flares that are used to confuse heat seeking missles. They call it "Angel Decoy". Even if it's incorrct, still a cool picture.

A young couple got married and left on their honeymoon. Back at home for a few days, the bride called her mother. "Well, how was the honeymoon?" asked the mother. "Oh, Mama," she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic..." Suddenly she burst out crying. "But, Mama, as soon as we returned, Sam started using the most horrible language. He's been saying things I've never heard before! All these awful four-letter words! You've got to come get me and take me home! Please, Mama!" "Sarah, Sarah," her mother said, "calm down! Tell me, what could be so awful? What four-letter words has he been using?" "Please don't make me tell you, Mama," wept the daughter, "I'm so embarrassed! They're just too awful! You've got to come get me and take me home! Please, Mama!" "Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset. Tell your mother these horrible four-letter words!" Still sobbing, the bride replied, "Oh, Mama ... words like dust, wash, iron, and cook..."
  13. I was just thinking that for many songs and artists there is one way to interpret the song and have a hit. I think the Beatles could have recorded most of their song 10 different ways and had 10 hits. I've yet to here an alternate recording that I haven't enjoyed
  14. Maybe I phrased this wrong. I believe as soon as you show a highlight reel of the 1990s, he's in. Maybe it will take a vote or two, and it will depend on who else is eligable each year, but I cannot imagine the Hall without Thomas.
  15. I've always believe Marriotti to call em like he sees them. IIRC he also slammed Sosa at times last season.
  16. Does anyone care that the word "love" has been hijacked. We "love" the Sox, we "love" SUVs, we "love" Jesus? Is there a clear difference or are we talking a continuing scale?
  17. OK, how about two Hall of Fame players. I do not believe Frank is even on the bubble, except maybe because of his steller PR skills, but Sammy will be a certain HoF player, if not a first ballot kind of guy. But, the main point I am making is this. Frank is one of the Sox greatest players and he can't draw flies.
  18. What is sad is right now, in Chicago arguably the greatest Cub of all time, Sosa; and the greatest White Sox of all time, Thomas are playing. And we are talking about needing a bigger draw than Maggs. Frank isn;t even in the equation :headshake
  19. Thank you APU. Well written. But revenge is sweet, and some people want blood.
  20. I cannot find a thing in there to disagree with. One option that hasn't been mentioned is sign Ordonez and trade Frank for a dozen balls and a pound of cheescake to the Yankees or someone who can handle his contract. If I could only have Maggs or Frank, at this stage in their careers, I would take Maggs.
