  1. No matter what Israel does, it gets criticized by the rest of the world!

There comes a time when you can't care about world opinion, and you do what you have to do to protect your own people.

And when the world turns their back and stops sending money, what does Israel do? Look past your blood thirst.

  2. Why should I feel sorry for the deaths of two people who would like to see me dead, solely because I am a Jew?

I don't sympathize with dead Nazis either!

So everyone on that highway wants you dead? Amazing.

  3. Oh, so if I just copy the URL, am I doing what you did? Should I save it on my computer instead?

If you save your avatar and then go to the help forum or even here, attach the image and then redo the avatar pointing to here.

I attached you avatar to this post so you could cut and paste for your avatar.

This way if mlb drops that pic, you'll still have it as your avatar.

  4. Those attacks are about as surgical as they can be.  If they sent a bunch of commandoes to try to arrest these guys, as you and others want them to, then there'd be a bloodbath with many more dead.  A surgical missile hit is far better at minimizing collateral damage than a gun battle in the streets.

How about a sniper at 300 yards?

  5. Unfortunatly we never had a legal agreement, it never seemed necessary until now. But I will definately be talking to a lawyer. Right now I am just trying to figure out all of the possible scenarios and what is best for my son.

From what I have seen a lot will depend on how much you have been seeing him before this. You can't ride in at the last moment and expect the courts to help. But if you have been seeing him regularly, paying child support or equivelent, you may have some standing.

Have you met the new husband?

I am glad to hear you state that you are looking for your son's best interest. Too often when elephants fight, the grass gets trampled.

    Good luck

  6. I am getting really sick of the hypocrasy of "the civilized world" who can hunt and kill off terrorists at will but Isreal gets condemmed for it when they do it.

Last time I checked they had a terrorist threat every bit as real as anybody else.  Bush, Blair and all other world leaders need to get on the same sheet of music and provide a unified front against terrorism or our campaign against it will fail.

Nuke, it's about tactics. Could you imagine missles on State Street? You seem to think that would be ok if we took out a terrorist. Guilty until dead. We can't arrest these people so we gunned them down at Northbrook Mall. Just shoot wherever and if anyone happens to be driving by, well too bad.

Why do you think most of the world condemns these attacks.

  7. f***, well thanks for the info. The reason I ask is because my ex is planing on marrying a millitary man and moving to Seattle with my son, which is a hell of a distance from me right now and I am trying to figure out how to still be near my son. I guess it's not going to be easy.

Whoa, check with an attorney. Did your agreement allow her to move your son? Usually there are restrictions. I obviously do not know the details, but I wouldn't let my son move that far away without some very good reasons. And an ex geting married doesn't cut it.

  8. Isreal came REALLY close to using tactical nukes a couple of times during the 60's and 70's.  While Nukes certainly aren't the 1st option they certainly are not to be ruled out in a situation where invading Arab hordes are stomping through your territory.  I stand by what I said regardless the weapon.

They woudl be dropping a nuke on themselves. That's what I would call extreme.

  9. I made a two bets with a buddy of mine, I just wanted to know what you guys thought about these:

The first one is a combined for two pitchers on each team, Sox and Cubs, for wins and losses.  I guess a Win is +1, a Loss is -1.  I got Buerhle and Garland, my buddy had Wood and Maddux.  What do you think?

The second one isn't even Sox/Cubs related, rather a question on the NL East.  I bet my friend that the Braves won't win the NL East this season, so if any other team besides the Braves wins it, I win.  What do you think?

Just tell him to save time and pay you now.

  10. Damn,  they're gonna have to run that whole rotation through Cook County Hosiptal & get all of em Tommy John Surgery.

    Baker = Dumbass!

    Ain't it pretty :D

They need Jerry Manual, I hear he is available and knows his way around the city :D

  11. The more I think about it the more I think TV played a big role. I also think the DH may have hurt initially. The Brewers being in the AL might have hurt a little (Yankee fans going to Milwaukee)

    Wrigley being more "family friendly"

    The stadium neighborhoods

It probably takes a generation to turn things around.

  12. White Sox fans have work. Some White Sox fans have school. Some White Sox fans live over an hour from the park. Cubs fans on the other hand are either retired, tourists, or business people that don't know anything about baseball. Day games shouldn't be scheduled for the Sox, even if it's cold. I haven't seen one home game all year because of school/baseball, yet alone be able to make it to the park. If the Yankees games don't average about 25,000 then I'll be damned and then begin to wonder why nobody comes to the park.

On a side note, a "sox fan" called into the Sports Page on CLTV and claimed only 10,000 people attended Opening Day. All they talk about on that station is the attendence for the Sox. :fthecubs

That is a bit of an over simplification of the Cubs - Sox fan base. Most of the head of households today were raised when the Cubs were on WGN and the Sox were on channel 44, a UHF channel with poor reception. While the Channel 9 crystal clear signal was strong and covered from the Loop, damn near to Rockford, Sox fans were stuck watching the games between the snow on the UHF band.

You youngins ask your parents about the days before cable.

Then we had the Sportsvision era.

No, the Cubs raised a generation of baseball fans. The Superstation rode the first cable wave while the Sox ost market share.

    CW, am I close?

  13. Check out who they beat

[-] - (Corpus Christi-AP) -- Brownsville Lopez scored twice in the

first eight minutes of play today en route to a 2-to-1 victory

against Brenham for its first Class Four-A boys soccer state

    championship.

It was also the Lobos first appearance in the state tournament.

The Cubs had their 32 match win streak snapped.

Jose Ramos scored three minutes into play to give Brownsville

    Lopez a 1-0 lead.

The Lobos doubled their lead five minutes later when state

tournament Most Valuable Player Ivan Morales scored on a direct

    kick.

Emmanuel Jaramillo made six saves to preserve the victory.

Brenham avoided the shutout in the 77th minute when Casey Hibbs

    scored on a direct kick.

  14. Can someone explain to me what the problem was? I am computer illiterate.

Instead of me downloading the image from the web site I found it at, I just linked to it. So anytime someone went to view anything I posted a command would go the that website to send the image to you. That places a demand on their server and potentially slowing it down, etc.

The absolutely correct thing to do is

    A. Ask permission to use the image from the web master

    B. Save it to your computer

    C. Upload it to here or a picture server that accepts this usage.

  15. It is almost impossible for a sports team to field a championship caliber team every year. Drafts, injuries, and luck all conspire against it.

Teams have to build a fan base that will go to the games for the sake of being at the game.

I watched this season as the Rio Grande Killer Bee hockey team started up on the Mexico border and almost took every local resident and taught them hockey. They are constantly in the schools giving stuff away, player promos, etc. They lost in the first round of the playoffs but sold out almost every game.

Imagine, I sat in front of a guy who didn't know a Zamboni from a Zabruder. He was typical. They came for the fights but stayed for some decent at times hockey. Kids are going to games to watch the player they met yesterday play.

  16. Mark = Budweiser, what else for a Mo. man?

E-Lo = Sol, my favorite south of the border pale ale and means Sun. What could be better for our brightest star from last season?

Garland = California Cool, need something trendy, something different, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

Schoeneweis = A wheat beer feels right for this east coaster. Something light and well crafted perhaps staying local in Wisconsin the Hefe Weiss from Sprecher.

Wright = A black and tan, something with heavy alcohol contact and mixed up.

    :cheers :drink

For Koch, straight shots of grain alcohol :bang
