“Shitpost”?  I hope when you do your “shitposting” that you are wearing your Depends instead of underwear.  I still have a few more years to go before I have to worry about that predicament.

But yeah, Getz’s acquisitions have done wonders at luring fans to the ballpark.  He should’ve dumpster dove even more this offseason.  It’s truly working

Even casual Sox fans know that Getz’s offseason was horseshit.  You seem to be the only Sox fan I’ve seen who actually defended it.  “Some semblance of chance of winning” already went out the window after their historically bad start and definitely by now with their current 3-21 record.  It’s still too small of a sample size for you though, so I’ll get back to you once they have played more games.

Regarding Fedde, I still don’t believe he will keep it up, although I hope he does so they can quickly trade him for something before he turns back into a pumpkin.  Don’t forget how Crochet was an ace after just three starts.  Meanwhile, you defended Getz and his awful offseason acquisitions of guys like DeJong, Lopez, Fletcher, Grossman, Soroka, Flexen, etc.  I’d say you’re batting a lot worse than I am on the offseason thus far.

    Don't forget Jesse Winker.

  2. Also, Wintrust Arena downtown has a current seating capacity of 10,387 fans...so not sure if it will actually be possible for the SKY to outdraw the White Sox for a home game THIS season since the Sox still haven't announced an official attendance under 10,000 (even for that Royals' combined DH when the weather was terrible).

That might have to wait for the 2025 schedule.

Memorial Day Weekend (Friday, May 24th through Monday, May 27th)

SAT. Connecticut Sun vs. SKY ... Baltimore Orioles at White Sox

TUES. Seattle Storm vs. SKY ... Toronto Blue Jays at White Sox

Final point tonight: I was in the car tonight and listened to the final 2 innings on Sirius. The Twins announcers made it abundantly clear til this series Minnie was looking like a pretty pedestrian team (small crowds too). Sox as they did to Kansas City have rejuvenated the Twins a bit. I wouldn't be shocked if Minnie takes all four this series even tho the law of averages once again is on our side.

Greg predicts an 11-2 type Twins win tomorrow (if u were smart u'd bet the house on Chicago since my predictions usually reek).

    TRAP BET

Chicago right-hander Michael Soroka (0-3, 7.50 ERA) is looking for his first win of the year after allowing five runs in each of his last two starts. Right-hander Bailey Ober (1-1, 4.91) will start for the Twins. Ober picked up his first win his last time out.

Could be.  But he’s also 37 now so last year and this year could just be natural decline for his age.  Everyone seems to realize that old guys fall apart except for our new GM.  See Maldonado (37) and Pillar (35).

    Pham Grossman Chavez Shaw, etc.

Somehow, almost inexplicably, we're in the middle of the pack for the mean age of the active MLB roster.

No shot at Johnny Cueto again, though.

Did a bad ai write this

Not sure most AI's would take such a strident tone in lecturing the WNBA or making fun of the White Sox/MLB?

  6. The WNBA, and NWSL, deserve to be considered as major professional leagues in this country. For that to happen, however, every one of their franchises has to be pulling its weight or, better yet, punching above it. Major League Baseball is established enough it can tolerate the Chicago White Sox being a laughingstock without them dragging everyone else down. The WNBA isn’t there yet. Not yet, anyway.

The greater appeal of power rankings resides at the top, eager readers wondering if their favorite club’s little hot streak dented the unforgiving hierarchy.

This week, let’s pay tribute to the very bottom of the list – and the team that might never get out of the No. 30 slot.

The Chicago White Sox are not just the worst team in baseball – a stunning designation given the Oakland A’s existence – they are essentially egging on the rest of the league to lap them.

    .....

That’s more than enough to sign a six-month lease in the cellar of USA TODAY Sports’ power rankings. Perhaps not so great, though, if they truly hope to hoodwink Chicago into a new stadium.

A look at this week’s rankings:

3-21…you just don’t see teams play this bad in the majors.  They really should unload guys if they have any value.

Fedde and Wilson ... not even sure moving Crochet and Kopech would be worth it.  Depends on offers.

They're (other teams) going to want to watch Fedde at least another 4-6 weeks IMO before making a commitment.
