That's good to hear he's throwing 95, i just hope now that he can get it up 3-4 more mph and that would be awesome. I really hope they can get him back to where he was, if not this year then next, because I think he could be a really good closer. Of course, if they can't fix him then I'd like to see Danny Wright be tried as a closer.

HAHAHAHAH!!!! LMAO!! I really need to go rent that movie now, or actually, I should just buy the movie.
  3. That's awesome that he has a high 90's fastball that can reach 100 mph. I've always liked him since I saw him pitch against my high school in a game(he totally dominated us though and our team was really good that year). All I remember from the game that I saw him pitch in was that it looked like he was throwing heat but I didnt know exactly how fast he was throwing.

Capn12, I love your Avatar(or wutever its called). Office Space is a funny ass movie! After seeing your pic, I feel like watching it now just to hear lumberg(sp?) and the funny things that he says.
  5. The Pirates can keep Benson. The only trade I'd want to see with the Pirates would involve us getting Giles in return.
  6. Hey, like I said in the gameday post, if the Angels can have the rally monkey then we can have the McFlurry, right?
  7. If we traded Colon to SF, I'd would be extremely happy if we got Williams, Ainsworth, and Foppert in return. But, I'd also be very happy if we could get Williams, Foppert, and Matt Cain. I really think Cain is gonna be good starter in the big leagues. He only pitched in A ball this year, and is out for the rest of the season, but after watching him pitch in high school and then seeing the stats he put up this year before getting hurt, I have really begun to like this guy. Of course, I'd really like to see what Jason or anyone else who is familar with Cain has to say about him because I'm not really sure what pitches he throws or how hard he throws. And, I would really like to see Danny Wright used as a closer some in AAA and see how he does. I think he could become a very good closer.

I've got a question about Koch and the games he's pitched in. Does anyone know in the games that Koch has pitched in, how many times has Koch given up 1 or more runs vs. how many times he's pitched and not given up any runs. It just seems to me like every time he pitches we have to expect at least one run to go up on the board.
  9. I think that this would be a good trade for all the teams if it is a 3-way trade. Even though the A's would be giving up a stud in Blanton which would suck for them, they would get a bat that they need if in fact they got Drew.
  10. LMAO! I was a little worried myself even though Konerko has been playing very well as of the late.
  11. Last year the Angels had the rally monkey as their good luck charm for comeback wins, so this year the White Sox have a new goodluck charm for comebacks: McFlurry's
  12. Dude, McFlurry's are BADASS! I always get M&M.
  13. Damn! Come on Flash, lets put this one away AND get over .500!!
  14. My bad. I guess ya'll are already ahead of me. I'll let ya'll handle the updates.
  15. Bottom of 7th: Woodward- strikeout Johnson- groundout Kielty-Double Wells-Homerun Delgado-pop up 5-4 bad guys
  16. KC is totally dominating that game. This sux! come on minny, we need you to win.
  17. Damnit! Maggs strikes out to end the 7th w/ Frank on 2nd.
  18. SWEET!! I can't wait for the next Top 50 to come out. I'm really looking forward to reading it! O yea, will there be some of our 2003 draft picks on the list too? I sure hope so, I'd like to see where ya'll think Anderson, Sweeney, Valido, Nanita, etc. would rank in our Top 50. I would guess Anderson, Sweeney, and Nanita would all be fairly high.
  19. Doesn't Frank Sinatra sing that song? But seriously, Neyer says the Royals should get a big bat, which might be true, but if i were them I think I'd rather pick up a Starter. Of course, if the Royals want to pick up a bat over an arm then that would be fine with me b/c we all know that good pitching beats good hitting(i.e. 2000- White Sox swept by Mariners). If they pick up another bat and end up making the playoffs, they still wont make it past the 1st round.
  20. I'll have to agree with JimH here. If you go to college and get hurt then you wont get anything(if you can't come back), but then again I understand the point that some people make when they say that if a player goes to college and gets hurt then at least he'll have a degree. Personally, I think I would take the money if I was drafted and offered $500,000 for a signing bonus as it is said Veal was offered. By the way, ya'll are doing a GREAT job on the draft reports! I'm really glad ya'll are doing this. I love finding out about these players we drafted.
  21. Yeah they are, and that's what sucks about them. My brother broke his wrist 2 1/2 years ago in a lacrosse game, and to this day it still hurts him when he does certain things. Oh, and does anyone know what the old college injury to Anderson's wrist was? I mean, did he break it or what? thanks
