If he develops into a back end of the rotation starter, it will come out of his long man experience in the bigs. It worked pretty well for Mark Buerhle by following that method.

At least Linebrink has a proven track record and has had success in the majors. I will feel a lot better seeing him come in the game than I EVER did when AAArdsma or Sisco Kid took the mound. Those two made you want to cover your eyes with your hands. Plus, it's highly unlikely that Linebrink could be anywhere near as bad as some of the guys who got lit up this season).

Jay Moronatti is originally from Detroit - he doesn't give two sh!ts about any Chicago teams. He makes a living insulting people and stirring up fans' anger by stirring the pot. That's his whole "schtick," and sadly he makes a living by being a troublemaking troll. 99% of his articles aren't fit to line a filthy cat's litter box.

The one thing that stuck out to me last night is that Garland was getting first-pitch strikes, and that is always HUGE. Those Twinkie hitters had no idea what was coming. P.S. I still hate Torii Hunter, and hope he's eaten by Bartolo Colon.

Garcia's got a lot of nerve taking a shot at the offense, especially how they gave him a ton of run support the first 3 months of the season - without the offense, his record would look more like 6-12. I don't think he's hurt, and I don't think he was on steroids (unless you could grind them up and smoke 'em in a bong) - I just think he's an aging pitcher who has logged his fair share of innings and is gradually "losing it." But he needs to shut his fukking trap and start learning to fool hitters by pitching, instead of just throwing meatballs up to the plate. He'll be gone after the season, and I can't say that I'll miss him all that much. Smoke this, ragarm.

I've been to that dump, and I mean DUMP, twice in the past 3 years, and it is a joke to MLB that it even exists. Cotts and Pollitte are good setup men, but they're just having their "normal" years right now. Last year, they had career years. That doesn't mean that they can't have BETTER years than they did, but you have to remember that things always find a way to reach their normal level. For NOW, they're doing what their history says they'll do. I hope both of them pick it up and start performing like they did in that magical year of 2005.

If Anderson can hit .260 for the season, with about 15 HR, 50 RBI, and solid CF defensive play, then we're okay as a team. He's struggling right now at the plate, but we have such a good team overall that we can live with it. It's not like we're depending on him to be a "key component" that takes us where we want to go. As for Juan Uribe, well, he's solid defensively, but his subpar average is starting to piss me off. Last year, he found some "hitch" in his swing, and his last 6 weeks were incredible at the plate. Hey Juan, you'd better find that "hitch" sometime soon, or I'd rather suffer with Alex Cintron playing while you rot on the bench. Wake up, jackass.

If Nelson is healthy, and able to throw his pitches for strikes, then right-handed hitters throughout the league had better just go up the plate with a tree limb, because they have no chance. Trust me - when Jeff Nelson is on his game, and is healthy, right-handed hitters are just nothing more than "victims." I truly hope this guy still has something left in the tank, because if he does, he's NASTY.

That lineup looked sad against Johan Santana last night, but that's okay. The guy is a stud pitcher, and there's not many lineups who are going to do s*** against him. He's still nasty and unhittable when he's on his game, and he was on his game yesterday. I love that lineup, but Uribe and Anderson need to see a proctologist to help them remove their heads from their asses. If those two can ever get it going offensively, we will destroy the American League and leave them crying, bleeding, and begging for mercy.

I bought it a few months ago, and just seeing those games makes me almost cry. And I never cry for anything. I love that set, and will treasure it forever. By the way, Yasny, I haven't talked or chatted with you in a really long time, but WE DID IT! We are World Series Champions!

I worry more about the Tigers than I do about the Indians. The Tigers' young pitching (sans old geezer Kenny Rogers) has taken its lumps, and has learned. They also have a really good lineup, a really good bullpen, and a manager who is a borderline baseball genius. The guy knows which buttons to push and how to get the absolute most out of his players. And he wins everwhere he goes (minus Colorado, but who wins there?) Cleveland has that powerful lineup that can score runs in their sleep, but their pitching isn't all that. Their starters are has-beens and might-never-be's, and their bullpen is hurting with injuries. I don't fear them much at all. As for the Twins - besides Santana, that pitching staff is the very definition of mediocre. And that offense? Well, it's nothing to actually lose sleep over. They're going nowhere fast, and by the trading deadline, Nathan, Hunter, Stewart, and others will have new mailing addresses. As for the Royals? LMAO!!!!!!!

It took me an hour and a half to get out to the park tonight. And that was in light traffic. I guess you didn't take Route 5 - I don't think that stupid highway EVER has light traffic. What a joke - it took me 3 hours to travel from LA to Ventura - at 8 PM!!!

In my infinite wisdom, I have learned to never HATE any player - any player who is in MLB obviously has the talent to be there. However, I do have two guys who I would like to see elsewhere. I think Vizcaino should be the mopup guy in the bullpen or sent to Charlotte - he needs to regain his focus on how to pitch in the majors. I think that Timo is a nice player - for another team. He's just roster fodder to me. I don't want anyone "gone" because I hate them - I just want the best possible roster for the White Sox.
