Understandable. I was just surprised when I didn't see links to the existing prospect profiles, as I think that was one of the best thing about futuresox.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback. This will serve as motivation for us to bring them back. We've been doing some back end stuff since moving to the new site and realized most of the profiles didn't transfer over properly or at all. A lot of dead links and empty pages. We took them down temporarily and are figuring out what to do with them.

Control is a very fun game. I highly recommend it.

I keep hearing that. I will have to pick this one up soon. It reminds me of Infamous based on the gameplay I've seen.

  3. Not enough talk about Bryan Ramos on here. Dude is 17 and more than holding his own in the AZL. .277/.353/.415. Solid walk rate, showing good power for his age, K rate is just over 20%. I'll take that profile over DJ Gladney's comically high K rate, for example.

You don't think that sucking in the DSL has context?

It might over a longer period. The point is it took two games for his numbers to go from sucking to pretty decent. If you can do that, there's nothing to worry about. His K rate is low, his walk rate is there (although DSL walk numbers are pretty useless), his OPS is above .800. Good enough for now. Start more serious evaluation next year at a full season affiliate.

Maybe the rust is finally starting to shake off for Yogurt here...

Maybe no one should have been freaking out about less than a month's worth of DSL games fresh off signing a new contract. Really, no one should give a shit about DSL games in general, but certainly not in this context.

That would be dumb, not even the Charlotte fans are showing up.  It looks empty every time I watch a Robert BOMB.  That place should be packed with all the talent they have.

They're third in the IL in average attendance and less than 100 from the league leaders

I mean, this is a message board and we typically debate various topics without taking opposing viewpoints personally (apparently not the case).  That being said, @chitownsportsfan summarized my thoughts very nicely.  I keep hearing how awesome Rutherford has been after a slow start when nothing in the underlying statistics suggest that at all.  Meanwhile, Sheets has been awesome and doesn’t get nearly as much love.  It’s really as simple as that.

I just wanted to show my support for the points made here. I don't think Rutherford is much of a prospect at this point. No reason to totally bail on him, that doesn't accomplish anything, but I'm not seeing reason for optimism. Sheets is starting to look like a legit bat. Him and Stiever can combine to make a decent trade package in the offseason.

Mercedes at 3B tonight I’d Charlottes twitter feed doesn’t have a typo.

Good spot. Zavala catching and Collins at first, too. Looks like they're getting creative with ways to get all three in the lineup. Those three plus Robert and Mendick are the only players of any consequence (safe to say the White Sox have given up on Palka?) in Charlotte so it's good to see them all in the lineup at the same time. Not a great team defense though ha. The poor pitches already have to deal with that ball in that park and now they have a bad D to go with it.

cold streak for yolbert. Bit of a cold streak for bailey too.

Mendoza has been so good this year. Really wish he was in AZ, ivan g was in G falls, and goldfarb was receiving less PT.

Ivan Gonzalez got moved up to Great Falls a couple days ago, but he hasn't played there yet.

Weaver and Delgado both with a homer. Not banner years but I have been decently pleased with them. Treading water at least.

I'll give you decently pleased with Delgado (although his K rate has gone up this year). Weaver is not doing much in year 2 of rookie ball.

  11. I noticed Kaleb Roper's line in Great Falls tonight (retired all 12 batters he faced with 7 Ks) and thought to myself "Please don't be 23. Please don't be 23. Please don't be 23." I click on his profile. He's 23☹️

I'm a little surprised at Vaughns k-rate tbh

Yeah I noticed that too, but it's still just over 18%, which is fine. Not exactly red flag territory.

Plus, 6 of his 15 Ks in Kanny came in his first 4 games (19 PA). He has 9 Ks in the 63 PA since (14.3%).

Not calling you out Tony because I agree but I keep seeing posts from some folks talking about his "lack" of power. My personal opinion is that if a guy hits .300 with some doubles, triples and get 175 hits or so a season AND plays his position well, I don't care if he "only" hits eight home runs.

Sure the Sox need some power guys but after the past several seasons three or four 300 hitters in the lineup would be a very refreshing change.

I don't think there would be concern of a lack of power if he's getting 8 HRs a year. I think the concern is that it would be mildly surprising for him to reach 8 HRs in a year. The power projection could be *that* low. We're potentially talking a Scott Podsednik-esque 3 HRs in two seasons with an ISO well below .100. And Madrigal won't steal bases like Pods and might not walk as much either (though he should hit for a higher average to cancel out those two things). Pods was one of my favorite players, but the margin for error on guys like that is tough. Madrigal really could use *some* power.

    Totally MLB ready defense.

I really think this kid could play starting second base today.

I agree, but that's also not a high bar on the White Sox.

  15. They have 13 pitchers already so another one doesn't make sense to me. Engel makes sense positionally, but also doesn't really make sense because why would we want Engel up? Have they just decided Tilson can't hit either so we might as well have Engel up for his defense? Could it be Tim Anderson?

Cam Simmons hit 2 HR last night. He was an interesting pick who may still be getting healthy. Hoping he can carry his success over next year.

Yeah, good to see him performing. I know you know this, but he is going to have to move quickly given his age. At least he is in Great Falls, but honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing him move up to Kanny before the end of the year. He needs to be in AA by the start of 2021, if not earlier.

  17. I still think Robert is a guy I want in the middle of the order because I don't see him as a high OBP guy in the majors. I do see him as having huge power though. I think he will be more of a Baez type bat than Moncada or Eloy.
