There was a point in the 4th quarter where he ran on a first down and tried to run between 2 Colts LBs instead of just sliding and taking 6-7 yards. He got maybe 2 extra yards out of it. I guess it's hard to convince football players not to do that but still. -

Should be treated the same as any fumble out of bounds, give them the ball and it's X and goal at the 1 -

I actually was surprised they let him have that TD. As I understand the rule, that's pretty clearly supposed to be a touchback. -

The games I've seen Watson in before, his accuracy is much better than this. Right now he just looks plain average. -

I don't understand why McDaniels is being seriously considered as a head coach. I mean his character already had an asterisk on it (if you recall part of the reason he got fired in Denver is cuz he got busted cheating) but the stunt he pulled with the Colts would have me far away from him if I was a GM. -

Romo used to do this sort of thing all the time, but because the vast majority of NFL fans are mouth-breathing idiots, they mocked him and made endless memes about him being a pussy. -
My beer came out great, the exact shade of gold I was hoping it'd be. 4.7% alcohol content. I was worried about it for no reason. Now gonna bottle it tomorrow.

Can you please let the NFL know they have the shittiest app of all the major sports, and that their website sucks too

Nats fans feel about Gio in pressure games the way we felt about Javier Vazquez

Sox still in the running for Harper/Machado

There is never a bad time to start in on eggnog, to be honest. -
It's a running joke with me and @Y2HH that I suspended him a bunch of times back when I was an active mod, but there's always a discussion about what to do before suspending someone and no mod really *likes* doing it. There's a delicate balance, because we don't want to be seen as over-moderating to the point where people can't be themselves.

I still don't think I was wrong to be upset when the Bears traded up for Trubisky (the Bears were in a position where it was IMPOSSIBLE to strike out on a QB unless they didn't take one or did something silly like draft Kizer) but even so, the 2017 draft was the best the Bears had in a LONG time. -1st (2): Mitchell Trubisky, not a better QB than Mahomes, possibly equal to Watson, but a Pro Bowl alternate despite still being a relatively raw player and probably a long-term solution for the Bears that they've never had -2nd (45): Adam Shaheen - solid pick, key part of the offense but hasn't really gotten to show it yet -4th (112): Eddie Jackson - honestly one of the best draft picks value-wise the Bears have ever had. Will probably be a first-team All-Pro this year. -4th (119) Tarik Cohen - immediate impact in his rookie year. Best returner since Hester, made the Pro Bowl. -5th (147): Jordan Morgan - got put on IR his rookie year and never made the team but that's because the Bears actually have good depth at guard. So 2 Pro Bowl players (one a potential All-Pro), a Pro Bowl alternate, successful starting QB, a solid starting-caliber player, and only one guy no longer on the team. That's enough that I can stop complaining about the trade. -

That's a valid criticism. Fangio did go into soft shells in a few games with a lead, although Week 1 was an anomaly. It's not something we've seen Fangio do before because the Bears weren't typically leading games under Fox. -
Okay, so I can't see it because my fermenter is pretty translucent, but the beer seems to have lightened up several shades.

Fuller is another shoo-in. Hicks deserves to go but he's got a crowd to get through. -

Jackson is a shoo-in. He is probably going to be first team All-Pro actually. -
Yeah, the flavor might be off when it's all fermented but it should still taste fine. The first was 8 oz each of wheat and oat flakes, the second was I believe 16 oz of some type of malt. It steeped fine (I'd have liked to give it another 15 minutes) but it was only in the boiling pot for about 15 minutes whereas the other was boiling for a little over an hour (along with the extract). I don't *think* it will be that big of a deal but seeing as how this is my first brew, I'm anxious to see how it turns out.
-
My bad I misunderstood what you were saying. Yeah there were grains I steeped (I didn't notice there were actually 2 bags, I hurriedly steeped another pound and added it in at the end of the boil) along with 3 lbs of liquid extract and 2 lbs of dry extract.

I don't believe so. The kit I used didn't come with any.

Sox are the lone exception. The Bulls are transcendent because of the nature of NBA fandom, although you don't usually hear Bulls fans whining the way Bears fans do (even when they tend to be the same people).
-
Something I don't understand: Chicago fans, specifically Bears fans, have this weird insecurity with national media and believe that the team doesn't get the appropriate amount of attention/recognition or that they actually get mad that the Bears are winning games. Lazy narratives notwithstanding, this makes no sense. The Bears play in a media gold mine. Why would they be mad about that?

A guy on BaB said the Bulls are like Office Space: Pax and Forman are the management consultants who screw everything up, Hoiberg is Peter trying to get fired, Boylen is the guy who thinks the Jump to Conclusions mat is a great idea.
