IMO try to trade Grandal for Blackmon, kicking in a lower-end prospect or two if necessary due to the amount remaining on Grandal's deal. It's some immediate salary relief for COL. Or maybe Grandal + Ruiz for Blackmon.
C Lucroy / Collins
1B Abreu/Vaughn
DH Abreu/Vaughn
LF Blackmon
RF Eaton
...and it actually makes us a better team than we were before. Grandal lovers would certainly disagree.

Alright guys, this thread will serve a dual purpose. First, there are some rumors the Sox are in the mix for Yoenis. How would you feel about adding him to the OF/DH mix?
Second, Al’s Beefy is pushing the narrative that Yoelqui will move fast and is expected to be the starting RF next year. Do you guys buy that?
I thoght the Eaton move was pure bridge to a Colas (at the time)/or Yoelkis (now) type of player. That's how the Sox operate imo.

What's the date of the episode being filmed? I think this might have been a while ago, his recent comments are all good.

Right now the rumor is Miller instead of Cohen, everything else is same.

Has there been any word on fans attendance in Spring Training?

At this point last year, our pal, and Mr. Reliable himself, Hector Gomez was reporting the Sox were in on Puig......
Why not now?
What if Hectors been playing us this whole time...its Puig he's been talking about.
Puig is not getting interest from any MLB team, think about that, there is a reason for that.

Welp no Cruz then. Have a strong belief Sox are trying to drive his price up to hurt the Twins.
Or Cruz using Hector to leverage the Twins. Don't trust Hector here...

Good luck Jose. Happy he’s not back as I always want fond memories of him. Can’t wait for Sox to destroy him opening week.
I wouldnt have mind a reunion but hope Sox are simply aiming higher.

Agreed. He's not serious about winning though. He never has been.
Jimmy, has anything changed on this front?

I’d be ok with moving Heuer, but I struggle with what team would take him back as an important piece of a trade. The Reds potentially?
One of the foodguys mentioned Reds and Brewers love him.

Not sure if anyone saw his latest YouTube video, but he does a rundown of the things most important to him. Everything sounded good until he got to one. Pitching every 4 days. He wants the team he signs with to have a serious discussion about doing just that. I’m sorry, but that’s ridiculous. Imagine trying to plan out a rotation with one guy going every 4 days. He gives a bunch of options of how he thinks it would work, but it seems incredibly counter productive to put one guy’s regimen over the rest of the team. What a mess. Maybe a team like the Rays would do that, but you’re not going to find a competitive team willing to run that over the course of 162 game season.
Reminds me of that time Machado would only play short.

Is there a chance this can create a national buzz to the point he will just go away?

Hinch, Cora, Espada, Sandy Alomar, Geren, Quartaro. ANYONE but Larussa.

3 step forward, one face slap back.

I think something needs to be said about the MLB investigation and giving immunity to the players was essentially MADE to throw Hinch under the bus.
I'm not defending him in the slightest but it was the players that cheated and got away with it!

Joe Espada would be a play I could see the Sox making. Checks the box of Spanish speaking, winning caliber type and doesn’t draw the limelight like hinch and cora would.
Underrated post.
