  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 05:46 PM) It's called Franchise Mode. And it rules. Especially with this pitching staff... I agree. I like to switch off from RTTS to Franchise when I get frustrated.
  2. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) For the Show, fighting automatically occurs if you have been beaned enough and it was intentional. They won't show the fighting though. They'll show the guy charge the mound and the camera goes away. For arguing calls, you're guy will automatically do it if he thinks it was really a bad call and then you get ejected. Happened in my 2nd game for RTTS. I mean you should be able to trigger your manager to come out and argue a play.
  3. Christ Heyward. Wow. I bet when J-Hey smashed it, Tim Kurkjian splooged himself screaming, "THAT SOUNDED LIKE A f***ING 30-OUGHT0-6!!!!"
  4. QUOTE (hogan873 @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) The way he's pitching he could pitch a complete game with 115 pitches, but I agree. Maybe give him one batter then pull him. Let the fans give the ovation he deserves. That's what I was going to say too. Let him start the inning.
  5. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 02:41 PM) Kotsay really wants to hit the ball into the ground. Just can't get it fair. Maybe Kotsay should understand that hitting it on the ground is not the best thing, especially when that's EXACTLY what the pitcher wants you to do.
  6. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 02:02 PM) is it just me or did CQ run like last year's JD on that wild pitch? He certainly did not get a walking start on a ball that squirted 10 feet away.
  7. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 02:01 PM) Anyone else shocked that the catcher didnt rifle his throw off of CQ on the WP? No. I don't think you should be "rifling" a ball to home to your pitcher from about 10 feet away when he was safe anyway.
  8. Yeah......he was out.....caught a couple of breaks this inning from umps.
  9. For some reason, when Paulie walked and Hawk said "bases loaded for Kotsay" I went..."Awww s***"
  10. Paulie got a piece of that 2-2 pitch? Hmm...I don't know about that. Oh well. Let's do it Paulie!
  11. Oh boy. I am salivating at the chance to get into this Indians bullpen!
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 4, 2010 -> 11:50 PM) I'm pretty sure MLB Slugfest was the only game that had fighting between players. MLB does not allow baseball games to include any sort of fighting or violence. It sucks, but it's their stance on trying not to promote violence. I really wish you could fight though, or at least argue.
  13. So it's 8 AM in Chicago right now. I have been up for an hour now, on 5 hours of sleep. My body forced me to get up in anticipation for the season........ It's like when it's Xmas morning, and you wake up 3 hours before everyone else, and then just hover over your parents bed waiting for them to wake up so you can start opening gifts. I will try and see if I can log another 3 hours of sleep, but it's going to be tough!
  14. I never disliked Maggs. He was my favorite player growing up (other than the obvious Frank Thomas), and I still like him.
  15. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 3, 2010 -> 08:02 PM) Going to Catholic college we got off Monday as part of Easter break - I was probably gonna skip class anyway. Hah, yep same here. We got Friday off too, though.
  16. I should get some Sox/Braves tix. so I can see Heyward and listen to the "30 ot 6" that Tim Kurkjian mentions every single time he talks about Heyward (which is about 3-4 times a week).
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 3, 2010 -> 09:17 PM) Very happy to see this unpinned.
