  1. I have traveled to Haiti three times and its really a beautiful country with great people. Its really too bad that they cant seem to catch a break. I have worked on water and school projects with two organizations that are planning relief efforts. If anybody is looking for a great way to help ... please visit the following links: http://www.haitioutreach.org/ http://www.cchaiti.org/ Community Coalition for Haiti is planning immediate medical relief hopefully sending a group down this weekend with Doctors and supplies Haiti Outreach is planning more long term relief. Their focus has been on drilling wells throughout the entire country. I'm sure we will be working on fixing basic infrastructure including water.

    14-7

QUOTE (GasHeGone @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 11:23 PM) Think about this. Detroit's lost two in a row (to Kansas City). The Sox win in the bottom of the 13th tonight. Momentum... If Detroit goes 9-15 the rest of the year and we win each of our last seven series -- meaning we go at least 14-7, we both finish 6 over. Then, we play them in a one-game playoff (with which we have experience) and rip it up. Believe. Detriot 9-15 = .500 rest of way for them + 2 x getting swept by Sox Whitesox 14-7 = sweep Detriot X 2 + 8-7 rest of way
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 03:41 PM) like I said, I love the Ramon Castro era flowers would have 3 hr by now
  5. I think it is safe to say Getz will be on this team next year
  6. QUOTE (Baines3 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:14 PM) I hope Ozzie puts in Flowers catching perhaps in the 9th or so. I'm assuming Flowers caught Hudson in AAA?
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:12 PM) That team is flat scary. They transformed the second they added Holiday. I has been my though for months, but everyone kept talking about the cubs winning the division easily and no way the cards could keep it up
  8. We gotta put up some more runs... cards have 14
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 09:10 PM) That was reminiscent of former Sox ss Alan Bannister back in the day. Lexi throws it away. Nix
  10. I really like seeing Ramirez and Rios run the bases
  11. QUOTE (spiderman @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 06:30 PM) When will this mystery be resolved? is there a deadline after a player is claimed that they must come to terms?
  12. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 06:36 PM) should have let raburn catch it....there 0 way from that angle with the tarp right in front of him that he throws brian out....especially if he's leaning into the stands the way he was is he allowed to tagg on that?
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 03:14 PM) no, Jake Fox is above 25, and probably a AAAA player. If he could hit MLB pitching well, the Cubs would have found a place for him I thought he was younger and Cubs were only holding him back because he couldn't field. He was raking in AAA this year did aight in his call up. nevermind though...
  14. What do you guys think of a packaged centered arround Jenks and Jake Fox Cubs are prob still going for it. Their bullpen has been terrible and we get our DH of the future. Thome gone after this year.. Dye likely to be traded. Fox has nowhere to play on the cubs.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 05:50 PM) Does AJ have problems catching lefties? I don't get this. haha thats pretty funny poor aj
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 03:06 PM) Hasnt he been playing everyday? think he is worried that wise started yesterday and today making that 2 in a row
  17. In your eyes, which whitesox management decisions frustrated you the most as a fan? Even if they worked out in the end. some that come to mind... - Wise starting over BA - 1rst round draft picks Broadway, McCulloch - Mackowiak in center
  18. This is to exciting not to have a thread. Rummor Sox getting Peavy for Richards, Poreda, 2 players to be named later. http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx...x&tid=99890 Same person that broke Cabrera/ Garland trade. Peavy scratched from next start. Owner Padres going through divorce.... Peavy big contract with 3 years after this one Sox shed lot of payroll next year. Waiting on Peavy to waive no trade clause.
  19. Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Contreras (W, 1-0) 6.0 3 0 0 5 5 0 0.00 Pitches-strikes: Contreras 108-57 no earned runs but 5 walks on a side note: Anderson went 2 for 4 with a triple
  20. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 27, 2009 -> 08:36 AM) If it was actually the city that moved it, they might have been able to get the location from the city's website using the VIN. On the city of Chicago website you can type in license plate and it said that the car got towed and gave address of towing company..... when I went to pick i up we found the car just parked on 40th and Union. There was no ticket and there is to no ticket on city of Chicago website. Just weird that they towed it no charge / no ticket. It was parked on 33rd right by the highway where they add the extra lane during ball game and nobody allowed to park there 2 hours before / 1 hour after.
  21. Has anybody ever got their car towed off 33rd street during Sox game? Happened to my girlfriend and when we went to pick it up... it was on 40th and Union park on the street. Will we get ticket in mail? There was nothing on the car..
  22. Is it me or has BA been talking a lot of walks? Spring training and last few games....
