Eh, who cares?
-
Hope it's true that Ozzie's gone soon, but Kenny deserves it more than anyone.
-
Viciedo is not in the lineup for Charlotte in the first game of their doubleheader.
If he's not in the lineup for game 2, then we'll know something.
-
Awful umpiring. Bang-bang play, and the guy slides head first? Automatic out.
-
I'll go with Twins win 4-2.
Buehrle ok, quality start, bullpen gives up a late run.
Dunn 0-4, 2 k's, 1 ground out, one fly out.
Rios 1-4, single to left.

QUOTE (C_LEE45 @ Jul 9, 2011 -> 01:25 PM)if OG gets fired whatta bout Bob Brenly?
Brenly would be at the top of my list to interview.

I'll gladly eat crow, but I don't think Reinsdorf would do anything with Kenny or Ozzie until the season is over.
Ozzie isn't going anywhere now unless there's something behind the scenes that isn't out that cannot be reconciled.

QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 08:15 PM)If he has two hits in the September game, will they technically be 2,999 and 3,000?
No that would only be if they had a suspended game. The remainder of the suspended game goes to the stats from the original date.
Like the Sox had an April game suspended vs the Orioles a few years ago. Ken Griffey Jr. played in the rest of the game in August, and it technically went to his April splits.

Go Twins!! 4th at the break!!

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 10:58 PM)You're still stuck with KW who manged a lousy farm system, taking risks on bad players, made a lot of bad trades, ect.
I feel like we are the Oakland Raiders of MLB.
Kenny's dream job. No wonder why it's so bad.
It really is the worst being a fan of a bad veteran team.
-
Kenny has to go. I wish he'd quit now, and just let Hahn handle the rebuild.
-
Amazing...four days ago, I was feeling optimistic.
This team is toast.
-
2 down. 2 to go.
-
Yankees rained out...makeup game in September.
A lot of money was spent to see that game tonight, so I have to laugh.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 04:38 PM)Can we just stop the Buehrle trade talk? Amazing things happen when he pitches and he's our boy. I want him to be our Wakefield. I want his name retired here. I want a statue. I want him here forever. That man has defied all the conventional pitching wisom.
I hear you, and I would agree with you fully if I knew Buehrle wanted to pitch until he couldn't--late 30's/early 40's, the usual.
If he's going to retire in a few years anyway, I'd be happy for him going home to St. Louis to finish out his career.
If he stays, great. But if the Sox can find the right deal, and one that he would approve, I'd be ok with that too.

They changed her release date to Sunday, July 17.
Wonder if it's a decoy just to give her a four day head start.
-
Also Humber...if somebody wanted to overpay, sure.
-
I'd love Rios off this team too, but they'd be taking on 3 yrs/38 mil after this season.
Sorry...I just threw up in my mouth a little....
-
If Buehrle wanted to go to the Cardinals, and they wanted him, I'd do it. Couple good prospects.
Danks to the Yankees for Austin Romine and a couple pitchers, maybe get Banuelos or Betances.
Quentin to Atlanta seems to have legs. I'll take a pitcher or two.
Jackson and Floyd would be on the table.
Thornton...I would trade in a second if the right deal was there.
Everyone else is almost untradeable, wouldn't bring enough talent back, or I don't want them to trade yet.

When people talk about their fantasy team while at the game. Give it a rest. Nobody cares.
And on leaving your seat during an inning, if you can do it between an AB, it's ok. Just make it quick.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 10:43 AM)Their job is to judge whether the state proved that she was guilty of the charges, not that she was "innocent" of them. That's why they say "Not Guilty". They did their jobs correctly.
They did the job, but in my opinion, they could have just as easily found her guilty based on the abundance of circumstantial evidence.
In the end, the State overcharged. If they just went for charges that would have kept her in jail for 15-20+ years, it would have been done.

Any idea of what station?
Can't remember which hour, but it was one of the Coop at the Park hours.

I wasn't really going for the abstinence angle when I said too many people who aren't ready to be parents are having kids....although abstinence is one option.
We just have too many young women (girls) having kids because they want somebody to love THEM unconditionally. Even if it means they can't care for them emotionally and/or financially.

Wow. Good for the Angels.
But at least we have Jared Mitchell who struck out anouther four times yesterday.
Castro hit on hand, leaves game with broken hand
