  1. I don't know if anyone just watched Milledge's last AB, but he's really an ass. 13-run lead, and he's pissed about a call. Strikes out, and tosses his equipment. He really is an immature player. He's not good enough to act like that. Just my 2 cents.

  2. Rongey with the call.

Sox: Milledge RF, Beckham 2B, Rios CF, Konerko 1B, Quentin DH, Ramirez SS, Castro C, Morel 3B, De Aza LF

A's: Crisp, Barton, De Jesus, Willingham, Matsui, Suzuki, Ellis, Kouzmanoff, Pennington

Pitching for the Sox: Danks, Humber, Bruney, Gray, Infante

  3. Nice bounce back for Jackson after the 1st inning.

Scoreless inning for Sale, but a walk and 2 hits. I love his arm, and I'm sure he'll be ok in the pen, but there's part of me that wishes he was getting 27 starts at Birmingham this season.

Spring training means absolutely nothing. Even the last week. These guys aren't going to turn it on until opening day, regardless of what anybody says about them.

I'm only going by what Ozzie said regarding the end of the spring training. He said it would be the regular lineup and using the pitchers (to an extent) the way he would in the regular season. Whether they win those games obviously doesn't matter. But I think the effort will be there, and I think Ozzie will demand that effort even though they are spring training games.

  5. You can listen to the Brewers game free through brewers.com.

    Both games at 3:05.

vs. Mil: Pierre, LF, Beckham 2B, Dunn 1B, Rios CF, Quentin RF, Pierzynski C, Ramirez SS, Morel 3B, Jackson P

vs. Col: Milledge LF, Vizquel SS, Konerko 1B, Teahen 3B, Castro C, De Aza CF, Danks RF, Lillibridge 2B, Pena P

Does anybody else find it insulting that the headline for this topic on MLB.com is:

"McCann shaken, but relieved Salazar will be OK"?

Salazar lost his left eye. Very sad. And I feel sorry for McCann too. Obviously not intentional, but he'll live with that.

  7. It's a "look at me" thing. He's running down the 3rd base line, 30-40 feet from homeplate. What's the point of taking your helmet off there other than to show off?

Just cross homeplate, high five your teammates, and take the f***ing helmet off in the dugout.

I don't see how it's a dick move, unless it's just because it's not something you see players do.
  8. I think they're trying their hardest to trade Teahen, but if they can't (and they probably won't), Milledge will win out over Lillibridge.

They can see if Lillibridge clears waivers, and maybe they can keep him without being on the 40-man. If somebody takes him, oh well...it's Brent Lillibridge.

  9. Floyd is throwing on the side tomorrow, so the rotation is set:

    Buehrle: 3/16, 3/21, 3/26 (4/1 at Cle)

    Jackson: 3/17, 3/22, 3/27 (4/2 at Cle)

    Danks: 3/18, 3/23, 3/28 (4/3 at Cle)

    Peavy: 3/19, 3/24, 3/29 (4/6 at KC)

    Floyd: 3/20, 3/25, 3/30 (4/5 at KC)

I guess they'll flip Floyd and Peavy, but if they just let Peavy be the 4th starter, it would be fine with me.
