This should be the new MLB marketing slogan.

I'm sure they will have a way to scan the microchip. -
Just make sure that mascot stays away from the bat boys.

Sox sign Adam Eaton 1 year, $7m plus option
supernuke replied to Greek-konerko's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The important thing to remember is that this means we basically got Giolitto, Lopez and Lynn for Avery Weems. -
I miss Peavy, he was entertaining. It's a shame he was driven away from the board.

Jose Abreu wins 2020 AL MVP and Hank Aaron Award

Nice to have some good White Sox news today! He earned it! -
There is no way greg775 is a real person. I have always been under the assumption that it is just another member that has created a character to play on the forums

I thought that hiring Hinch was supposed to be the move that would cause the Sox to receive negative media coverage. Seems like the La Russa hire isn't being as well received as I am sure JR thought it would be. I sure hope JR doesn't see this as his big signing for the year. And I am sincere about this.

The manager in a modern baseball organization is basically a middle management position. I don't think the position comes with the amount of power many people think it does.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
supernuke replied to Kyyle23's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sure it bothers me, but I believe in second chances. If it is deemed he is the best man to move this club forward then I can accept that. -
Rick Hahn, if you read this board: please don't hire a cheater.

So no second chances? One mistake and that's it forever? -

What if his boss told him not to stop it? It seems like take every advantage was an organizational philosophy with the Astros. -

I can't believe so many would refuse to give someone a second chance. To the OP, you said how would you explain this to your kids. Would you not use this as an opportunity to teach that making a mistake is not the end of the world. A mistake was made and the man received and served his punishment and hopefully learned from it and now can receive a second chance if he proves worthy. -
Are Dunning and/or Cease Slotted into the 2021 Starting Rotation?
supernuke replied to ron883's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would prefer: Person X Giolito Keuchel Person Y Cease Dunning/Kopech etc. -
Guess the pitcher we add in the offseason
supernuke replied to thxfrthmmrs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I guess you are just much more optimistic than I am. I would not want to go into next season having to rely on Kopech, Cease and Dunning all to have success. Especially considering possible regression of Giolito without McCann and while I do like Kuechel I'm not sure he can repeat what he did this year. Far to many question marks to be comfortable with what we have. I really think we need 2 starting pitchers to be added. On TOR and one at the back end. Bauer is the only TOR guy that is a free agent next year so he needs to be the #1 priority and then they can look at grabbing a guy like Q for the back half of the rotation. That would give us a very good starting rotation of Bauer, Giolito, Kuechel, Q and Cease. Kopech for sure has to start in the minors and I think some additional time in the minors could help Dunning as well, make them force their way into the rotation instead of giving them a spot and hoping it works out.
