  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 07:53 AM) I've never paid much attention, but I've never been approached to take a survey or noticed a bunch of kids in green shirts. I'm going to another game in September. Where do I look for these people? on the concourse. they're elusive bastards.....

  7. QUOTE (aboz56 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) Apologize if this has already been posted, but just came across this: http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/...action-baseball jerry mentioned he had comments that got him in trouble this week. what did he say?
  8. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 10:44 PM) No two ways about it, I don't get it. He must just listen to what Joe Cowley spoon feeds him in the AM. I will say it was pretty funny when they informed Infante he was traded. Bienfiest: You've been traded back to Detroit. Infante: Thank You! Ozzie: Thank you? F**k you. Lol gotta love seeing Oz embarrassed on the spot. I swear as soon as Ozzie heard the trade was to Detroit he smiled big time. I can't wait for next week when the rug is pulled out underneath him when they show the Hanley for a Bucket of Balls trade.Karma. the franchise is that current?
  9. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 10:56 PM) I like it. Keep packing it in maybe it will give KW the extra incentive to make that "impact" move. Too bad we have no more home games before the deadline. just keep buying tix. kenny reads the advance ticket sales reports too....
  10. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 12:23 PM) today may have a big crowd due to day camps. yep. 30k according to hawk. so they are averaging 33k for this series/homestand. not bad. not bad.
  11. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 01:34 PM) Meh. The picture Farmer paints with his words is better than an actual picture. i assume you are high right now?
  12. ONLY FOR OUT OF TOWN VIEWERS. The internet feed may be free, but only if you live outside of chicago.
  13. today may have a big crowd due to day camps.
  14. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) Explain please...??aside from selling standing room tickets before regular seating is sold out, they have been accused of selling tickets directly to brokers under the table.
  15. Dynamic Deals are here: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/ticket...content=pricing $10 tix for 8/8 and 8/10 in the upper level, and $20 downstairs. $20 lower level seats are also available for 8/12
  16. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 09:16 AM) Really makes you think about Fenway or Citizen's Bank Park and how ill their respective consecutive sellout streaks are. Red Sox: roughly 750 games White Sox: roughly 750 minutes the red sox are "cheating" on that sellout streak....
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 09:12 AM) Yeah, it was 38,676. For some reason, I thought a few people said it hadn't sold out. Must have been confusing it with all the Cubs' games. I know none of those came close. I wouldn't be surprised if we had more Tigers' fans for our last home match-up than we had Cubs' fans this year. They've been travelling very well all across the country this year. remember, comps dont count toward attendance. the sox sold standing room on opening day.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 04:17 AM) 37,778 First sellout of the season. White Sox finally passed the Royals to reach 24th in the majors. However, to eclipse the magic 2,000,000 mark, we would need to average 26,470 for the rest of the season, with 32 home games remaining in August/September. Hopefully we can draw really well for the Angels series next weekend. That will be a huge one for the Sox. FWIW, the Padres of all teams are 23rd in attendance, averaging 25,825. The Sox average is still only 23,403. padres have 51 home games already played. sox have 47.
  19. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 12:37 PM) I'm thinking of going to tonight's game by taking the Rock Island Line to the 35th street stop, but I heard they were supposed to be doing work on the train tracks and the stop is supposed to be closed until construction is completed. Does anyone know if it's going on now? Will I be able to ake the train to the 35th street stop? Also, I'm gonna try and buy a last-minute ticket from the box office (or a scalper) and I'm hoping that by the tim I get there the upper deck seats will be sold out or close to sold out and they'd sell the remaining lower deck seats for half price. Would this be the case? Would I have a good chance of getting a lower deck seat at half price if I went to the box office just before game time? today is 1/2 price monday. ALL non-premium seats are 1/2 off.
  20. Here are the 1/2 off codes for this week: 7/23- 1/2 price Monday. No code needed. 7/24 - GOH 7/25 - FUN - http://www.whitesox.com/fun The Sox are also running a discounted CLUB LEVEL offer for 7/24 ONLY. Info at : http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/ticket...05514-319168870
  21. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 02:51 PM) Cool idea for a blog! I had always thought buying tickets from someone at the gate was scalping. Is that only if you pay above face value? I don't have any objections at all to getting deals on tickets. I'm just concerned that the blog may somehow get the author into trouble. Hope you save that site for your own memories. Twenty years from now it will be pretty nostalgic to read it.I have bought/sold tix through craigslist and picked up right by gate 4. not that hard. security stops people openly pimping tix too close to the park. that's why the scalpers work closer to the train and expressway.
  22. have you tried buying vouchers online? the kids' club vouchers are all over ebay. pm me if you need help getting tix
  23. QUOTE (SouthSidePride05 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 10:35 AM) I was afraid that was how it works. I would think it would be more advantageous for them to release all the seats at once and display all the available seats on the map as opposed to holding certain rows. Just out of curiosity though, I'll be checking the map periodically as the game gets closer so I can see those upper rows become available. Hopefully they become available soon and then get sold.i think they dont want to show that "good seats remain".
  24. the seat map "opens" more seats as certain rows get sold. so 506 row 21 wont be up for sale online until they sell more of the lower rows. that way they still have spots for groups. the seat map is a strange beast. sec 108 has several rows with singletons scattered about for almost any game, but on game time, those rows are almost empty. also, dont forget season ticket and group tickets get released back closer to the game. so sec 139 may be "sold out" for a game in september if you tried to buy today, but by the time the game comes around, that section will have open seats.
