  1. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 07:52 PM) You have to fight like cats, with paws up. Ozzie Guillen LOL! Nice pussy.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) Did anyone else hear that Mariotti is signing with the Chicago Tribune? No way! I thought newspapers were dead. Jay told me so.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) I'm not near a TV that gets the game. Any PBP? 2 run double by AJ; Bloop by Juan moves AJ to 3rd. Successful squeeze by Owens. 5-0 Sox
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 07:44 PM) Thrown out again? He's the goofiest baserunner. Swisher was toast once he hit 0-2.

  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 07:38 PM) 2nd and 3rd, no outs after a great approach by Alexei. We have to get these runs in. For more reasons than just this game.
  7. I would have sent him, but it was the right call not to.
  8. Owens, Cabrera, Wise. I'll put the over/under at 7 pitches.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 07:08 PM) This is as bad as he's looked all season, and that's saying something. Not to sound too much like DJ, but Doc does have something to do with that.

  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) twins with a 2 out RISP hit....shocking Hey, at least AJ filled our weekly quota tonight.
  12. Atta boy, Jim. And good base running JD!
  13. QUOTE (PorkChopExpress @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 04:18 PM) I bet Wise and Owens are in because they can lay down bunts. I guess we are trying the speed game today. Maybe if they get on, they can mess with Halladay. I'm hoping that's why Wise is batting second, but if Owens could bunt, he would not always ground out meekly to second. Frankly, I'm upset that in the thick of a pennant race, 2/3 of the outfield are Owens and Wise. I guess Luis Terraro and Andy Gonzalez are unavailable.
  14. We are starting to really look snakebit, but we're not done yet. We lost the American League MVP and then promptly took 2 of 3 from the league's best team. Now we've lost 2 in a row to the league's hottest team with one of the best pitching staffs. Losing Paulie will hurt, but although he had shown some signs of heating up lately, he has really not been good all year, and the Sox played some of their best baseball this year when he was hurt before. Swisher going to first and Anderson going to Center will improve our defense and speed. Offensively, we've definitely lost some thunder, but we still have Dye and Thome. I really think everything will depend upon our pitching anyway, which looks especially bleak tonight because it was the 5th starter's turn. On the other hand, Javy pitched well this afternoon. I'm not saying we're going to the World Series (Hawk), but I think we still can certainly win the Central.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 09:34 PM) Are you Dave Wilder?
