Mlb.com Sox projected lineup and rotation is out
Y2Jimmy0 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The White Sox are going to be bad but don't take anything away from spring training stats. It's all meaningless. How are we still doing this in 2024? -
Schultz is throwing a bullpen today on the backfields at 12:40 if anyone is in Arizona
-
Yeah Schultz is fine. Healthy and ready to go.
-
We aren’t ranking him on stats alone. DSL guys are really difficult to rank though.
-
The entire top 30 is publishing now fwiw

The top 30 list is coming out this week. Here are the players who just missed our list: https://www.futuresox.net/2024/03/04/futuresox-white-sox-24-ps-just-missed/

This college pitching class is awesome

Free Agents and Spending Teams Remaining

It’s just never going to happen. There’s not a salary cap and something like this would squeeze the players even more. It’s a tough situation. Nobody thought he was worth 8/200. It also doesn’t make sense for him to take like 5/150 due to the QO being attached. This deal makes sense for the Cubs but I doubt anyone else would do this because of the QO rules -
I’d need to be really confident that Cags can play the outfield
-
Sox appear to be in a great spot at 5. Konnor Griffin is the top prep guy, Bazzana, Wetherholt and Honeycutt all look great so far and the college pitching class could be elite at the top. Really good options.
-
Definite 3B imo but he can hit
-
He won’t be getting overslot. Hes awesome but Mississippi high school baseball is atrocious
-
Well this is interesting. Twitter hasn't worked for me all day due to the phone outages. Wonderful.
-
It’s nowhere near big enough for what the Bears want to do
-
I don’t agree. It’s not that easy to navigate right now. As far as clubs having the same valuations, yes. The QO is brutal though. Guys like Bellinger and Snell should’ve considered taking the QO if they wanted 7-10 year deals. Now that they have the QO attached, it makes a 1-2 year deal far less likely. I mean come on. Nobody thought those guys would be unsigned as camp opened.
-
Many plugged in people really close to the team think this is happening.
-
Would you do everything the same as your boss if you were promoted? I’ve got nothing. I’d heard that Baltimore circled back when Bradish got hurt. Not sure on likelihood. Some still think Cease moves. I personally think deadline is more likely now. Sox really expected Snell and Montgomery to be signed by now
-
It’ll still happen. People are being so dramatic about this.
-
Why would you think otherwise right now though? Fletcher will be in RF against RHP and Pillar will be on the team. Why would Sheets play over those guys? Also, would you ever play him over Eloy Jimenez or Andrew Vaughn against RHP? I just don't see a spot for him.
-
You think this matters much more than I do. I think spring training is mostly meaningless as a predictor of any future success. I don't really see the difference in getting playing time in big league camp over minor league camp. I'd DFA Sheets because I don't think he's any good but i'd be really surprised if he plays the outfield under this GM.
-
The prospects won’t be in big league camp very long
-
Do you think Njigba is better than Fletcher? If he’s not, when would he actually play? Is he better than Zach DeLoach? They have an infield crunch for sure. I don’t think Shewmake is good but I doubt the Sox want to lose Sosa or Rodriguez for nothing at this point.
