Ok now if Leury was free, like the league minimum, how many teams want him to occupy a spot? i would say the shitty rebuilding teams would rather try their young guys or try to catch lightning in a bottle on some 25-29 yr old post-hype, burger-type guys maybe figuring something out. Does a championship club want him as swiss-army depth after last year? i dont know the answer and that's bad.

They finally broke me this year and I think it’s like you say: The choices made are just sooo bad the only conclusion I can come to is maybe these guys really don’t have what it takes to compete with other front offices. There’s time to fix it but a few years has been lost. I’ve gone from excited to skeptical about this window that should have been a home run.

We’re not. Without even checking most teams probably have a low OPS 2B. We happen to have 2-3 pretty darn good young guys to try there. This is a position we should not be spending money on IMO
