  1. Anderson Moncada Abreu EE Grandal Eloy Robert Mazara Garcia
  2. 9 June 2008. It was a Monday and a makeup game against the Twins. It was the 4th game in a 4 game series, originally a 3-game series. Anyway, I had just turned 18 two days before, and it was my first time going to a Sox game in Chicago by myself (Took Amtrak from Toledo earlier that morning, and left that evening). Nick Swisher hit a home run from both sides of the plate and the Sox won and swept the Twins. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200806090.shtml
  3. Agreed. I think Bobbo and Madgrial will eventually be the 1-2, but not for a while yet.
  4. I know its fake, but the thought of shipping off Collins irks the shit out of me.
  5. I know he has the tools and talent to improve, but I'm cautious. 270/300 - 38 HR
  6. I think so, but I also don't think its a big deal (not saying you said that, just my opinion)
  7. When they played the Chiefs, Mahomes wasn't even playing, he was hurt. And they still barely won. Most of their wins came against bad teams, and every time they played a good team this year (49ers, Chargers, Eagles), they lost. Albeit they beat Seattle so I will give them that, but other than that? Meh.
  8. Knew the 9ers would win. Whenever GB played a real team this year they lost. Worst 13-3 team ever.
  9. I don't know where ya'll live, but I always felt if you live in Chicago and root for the Packers that you're not a true Chicagoan. Might as well root for the Red Wings, Pistons and Twins while you're at it.
  10. been that way for years. refs go out of their way to bail those losers out.
  11. Same. Into the race in mid-august would have me giddy. Low bar, but we've seen some bad shit...
  12. Vs: Cleveland: 246/330/482 (813) - 11 HR Detroit: 261/347/484 (831) - 16 HR Kansas City: 275/371/485 (856) - 16 HR Minnesota: 287/386/568 (954) - 27 HR
  13. I expect Anderson, Abreu, McCann, Moncada to regress a bit. Anderson, McCann and Yoan's BABIP was high, but Moncada had a high exit velocity so I think his regression will be minimalised. Abreu is just getting older. But you can, rationally, figure that Granda, Abreu, Moncada will probably have a wRC+ over 100, Anderson and Collins will probably hover around 100, give or take around 10 points. Robert, Madrigal, Collins, and Eloy are gonna be the key to this offence.
  14. Sadly, I could see the Sox being stupid doing the Madrigan and Vaughn trade if Boston ate most of the contract. I have zero faith in the front office.
  15. I'm not saying this to be snarky at you in particular, or personally, but just a general question to anyone; has playing at USCF/GRF ever actually boosted a free agent or trade's power numbers?
  16. Free agenting isn't gonna work for starters. Who could we realistically trade for?
  17. I fucking love that wording.
  18. McCann and Fulmer? Sure They shouldn't trade Collins away. Period. Let alone for a rental.
