  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 07:32 PM) Naaah. I was rooting for offensive domination, and expecting Gavin to s*** the bed. Now, I am rooting for a healthy amount of Ks, and hoping Gavin doesn't s*** the bed. This is your fault.
  2. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 05:59 PM) jesus man. Don't curse the jesusman. "Now this motha is nicknaming Jesus. Damn."
  3. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) This always cracks me up. What the hell is an "intensive purpose?" Haha. Reminds me of "I could care less"... o rly? Intensive when discussing Peavy/Hulk, intents and purposes otherwise. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) I think Jake Peavy looks A LOT like Jeremy Renner.... Peavy shall be all the heroes!
  4. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 01:34 PM) At any point he can turn it around and be lights out for a month....have some faith...I have a feeling he'll get a quality start today
  5. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 10:48 AM) GF is from Iowa? I did not know that. Then "if you build it, he will come." C'mon Gavin Droid. You have to fill that void. The void is the area between our outstanding starters and our sucky starters. Just get a quality start in there. We should be able to 'put it on the board' against the anti-Jake. Just.win.it! GO.WHITE.SOX! That was an Avengers reference.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 08:33 AM) You can't see a neurologist until September? F*ck this country. No, I saw one two weeks ago and will see one at Northwestern on July 26 (earliest opening). They just can't run tests until Sept. 16. Because they only do the 24-hour EEG on Tuesdays and Thursdays. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 10:09 AM) Banging your chin to the ground is the worst. f***ing painful. All I know is I woke up in the ER with my face/hands/arms/shirt covered in blood, in a neck brace, with my contacts out. I hit the ground real hard. My friend that found me said it looked like I was shot, since I was in a pool of my own blood.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 09:38 AM) motion denied, relevance My thoughts on this thread:
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 08:14 AM) For all intensive purposes, lol Was hoping that'd make someone laugh. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 08:48 AM) I do like that I'm in there defending De Aza, but I'm curious as to how that wound up happening. Congrats! QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 08:54 AM) Come on now, it was VictoryMC. Everything he said was argued Because this.
  9. Speaking of the seizures, has anyone ever used mederma to remove a scar? One of the seizures happened when I was in a parking lot and my face decided to fight the ground (hint: I lost), so I have a nasty scar on my chin and would like it gone.
  10. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 03:23 AM) I don't even know what to say. "Sit back, relax and strap it down"?
  11. LAST TIME IN WHITE SOX BASEBALL "Jake, now would be a good time for you to get angry." "That's my secret Captain, I'm always angry." And then Loki won as Captain America was refrozen in ice. LISTEN TO THIS TO GET PUMPED. In one corner with a 4-6 record and 4.25 ERA, we have Jake "Russell ain't my cousin, those outfits suck" Westbrook. In the other corner also with a 4-6 record but with a 5.38 ERA, Gavin "Hawkeye" Floyd. Why is he Hawkeye you may ask? One, we got an Avengers theme going. Two, because they were both mentally weak for the first halves, but have the skills to dominate. WILL HAWKEYE GET SMACKED IN THE HEAD BY BLACK WIDOW (This role currently taken by Phil Humber, because I said so. Plus, still better than "CucHumber.") AND REGAIN HIS FORM TO DOMINATE AND LEAD THE AVENGERS WHITE SOX TO VICTORY AGAINST LOKI DAVID FREESE AND THE CHITARI CARDINALS? YES. BECAUSE f*** ALL THE HATERS. THIS. IS. WHITE SOX. BASEBALL. "I have an army" "We have a Hulk" (For all intensive purposes, the mantle of "Hulk" goes to Dunn on days that Peavy is not pitching. This is when Peavy is merely Bruce Banner.) THIS GAMES GOOD LUCK CHARM: QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 07:04 PM) At best, he has a Juan Pierre type season.. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 07:12 PM) At best? Juan Pierre can't run or field any more and has no power. De Aza with a handful of doubles would massively upgrade on Pierre. Only q is if he can keep the average up. He hits .270 and he is a massive upgrade on Pierre. LINEUPS TO BE ANNOUNCED.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 01:39 AM) Tom Browning, Randy Johnson, Dennis Martinez, Roy Halladay, David Cone, David Wells, Kenny Rogers... + more. Many players have both a perfect game and a ring. Doc has a ring?
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 12:58 AM) Proof that he is a good manager to play for. Mark Buehrle. I rest my case, your honors. Proof that he is a bad manager to play for. Paul Konerko. I rest my case, your honor. This clearly was a well thought out argument.
  14. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 12:05 AM) Dickey appealing his 1 hitter http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_/id...-tampa-bay-rays Just saw the "hit". That was an clear error on Wright.
  15. I forgot how much I hate Buster Posey to enjoy this as much.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 11:54 PM) I just can't get excited about perfect games and no-hitters anymore. These last 3+ years have been ridiculous. I want steroids back in the game. This too. I get excited somewhat, but not nearly as much as anymore. Damnit Buehrle, f***ing s*** up.
  17. So, who is in the World Series-Perfect Game Club? Buehrle, Cain, Larsen, Koufax?
  18. Arias looked scared s***less on that last play.
  19. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 11:38 PM) You should have called a perfect game. 3 outs away. Times like this makes me love MLB.tv
