  1. He reminds me of a corporate kiss ass. I remember him mentioning things he was from another dugout that was always good for losing 90 games. He says things like he didn't like the team. You wonder what players around the league say about people you never hear about it in the media. Maye just maybe players under him might have said the guy is a joke. He's set up this season not to fail. If they lose less than a 100 games it will be considered success. The bar is set low. Only Stone can paint a positive picture. The rest of us have been duped long before that. The only thing interesting about this team is the fans bitching. Eventually the media will not give them attention. Reinsdorf will have to come up with another make believe soap opera for people to know this organization still exists.
  2. He will also cut fan attendance. Eckstein played under Tony so you know where that came from. He's created a foolproof plan to excel in small market habitually losing sports organizations. He should make a book for potential only look a spreadsheets dumbass owners.
  3. i just want to comment so i can be included in the misery.
  4. Sheets is the new Leury. Tony probably told Grifol to keep playing him there. Meanwhile the only interest I have in this team is the soap operas. I need to put myself in exile until all traces of Reinsdorf are gone.
  5. The chances of that happening are bout as good as the Sox winning 90 games. The day he was hired he didn't set the table correctly. He mention things he seen from another 90+ loss dugout they need to improve. Then recently he mentioned he didn't like the team which Laurence Holmes pointed as nothing but being a kiss ass. Somewhere during the TLR era the team morale started to regress. Who knows why but it appears some players couldn't wait to leave. Girfol is not the answer. Maybe an experienced manager would not even want to bother with this team.
  6. Especially when you start adding more Royals.
  7. Maybe that's what you get for $15M these days. It's not the first WFT contract in baseball.
  8. Some seem to forget how to do that once they put on that uniform.
  9. Players are far more brittle than they use to be. The ability to stay on the field or never miss a start is now a high value. Then there are guys like Judge and Trout who will still get higher contracts despite never playing a full season. Look at the Gio contract, Did he ever really miss a start? As for the pitch clock the aging pitchers were having trouble. I doubt any of those legendary pitchers would have an issue with a pitch clock. It works both ways. He hitter isn't allowed to take their sweet time.
  10. I never understood why people think you can run a MLB organization like the NFL or NBA. Drafts are a much higher risk in MLB since you have more choices. The level of talent in the NCAA isn't as big as a divide from the NFL or NBA.
  11. Just another example of how bad the modern media is.
  12. This is an example of why teams are reluctant to trade their decent pitching prospects. Below mediocrity has a high price in baseball.
  13. Seems like another member for the Sox IL roster
  14. I'm trying to figure out the point of this decision. I guess it's roster filler so thy don't have to use Charlotte as the roster filler. It screams White Sox.
  15. I'm jealous of their organization. They might be one of the few Chicago teams that is trying to do something right. They don't have an owner that is so out of touch with baseball reality.
  16. I liked him netter when he was with the Royals. I didn't even know who he was.
  17. I don't think baseball in general is getting new fans.
  18. You don't need much defense when the ball goes over the fence.
  19. Somehow we think there are naive GMs, scouts, not on the White Sox would see some potential. All organizatins deal with injuries and I doubt any of them have a faith healer for Eloy.
  20. How well Bummer does may reflect the performance of Katz. How soon will it be though we hear how great he is doing like we heard after a couple of Lynn starts and the Sox version of Lynn appeared in the playoffs. Sure Bummer might be great for an inning with a decent lead but we'll see what happens in a high leverage situation.
  21. They do nothing for a ML season. Sometimes those rankings are based on quantity and not quality. You can have a top ranked farm system nd most guys are in low A. A lot can happen where that means nothing. We are in the age of fragile players. This stuff always sounds good on paper. Getting another team's prospects looks good but their coaches don't come along with them.
