Gotta think the reps Leury got as a starter the past few years will make him even that much better as our super sub.

Stoney, Jason - no need to apologize for exciting Chicago White Sox Baseball, no matter how long it takes. Ever.

    7/26 GT - Twins at Sox - 1:10pm

Well, for the first time in a very long time, we can be very confident in an offense completely capable of getting back into this one. Game has a chance to be very exciting with eight innings still to go.

    Jason Bennetti Haters Club

Do you actually listen to any of the broadcasts featuring these two in the booth? They have exhibited extraordinary chemistry in their broadcasting relationship, particularly in the past few years over the “rebuild” when the on-field product has been anything close to desirable. They have both been vocal in their agreed-upon view of the team’s potential going forward. BTW - anyone in agreement with SS2K5 that there is “just zero chemistry between” Jason & Stoney?

    JR worried about 2021 season

Set my feelings aside. Again, 40 year anniversary of the guy as the owner of the team we love. Where’s the outpouring of love and appreciation for the guy? Where is it? Bill Veeck, with far fewer years as owner even through two stints as owner, is far more beloved by the fan base than this owner. Why is that? How can one spend four decades in this kind of position and yet have near-to-zero in terms of fan love?

40 years of being the owner of the team, and yet no semblance of being beloved by the fan base. None whatsoever. Why do you think that is?

As a super sub, he’ll be a valuable component in the upcoming run this team is getting ready to embark upon over the next several years.

    JR worried about 2021 season

Well, who knows, right? Maybe the honorable Chairman is just disappointed that something of the magnitude of a pandemic has overshadowed what would have been a magnificent celebration this year throughout Chicagoland of his 40th anniversary as owner of our Sox. With the cult-like following he's built with the fan base over the past four decades through his tireless dedication to the fan experience, there undoubtedly would have been ticker tape parades held down Michigan Avenue in his honor, a "Jerry Reinsdorf Appreciation Day" dedicated by the governor, Jerry Reinsdorf t-shirts and coffee mugs distributed throughout - it would have been a whole year of one exciting event after another to gratefully thank this man for all he has done for and brought to this franchise these past 40 years. Maybe Year 41 is when we can all get around to doing just that.
