  1. In a way, I kinda feel bad for Lillibridge. He was on a tear before Becks started hitting again. As bad as he's been in the past in a Sox uniform, he was really coming through for us when we needed him.
  2. Even if this isn't the ideal starting lineup, it is still the best "looking" lineup we've had all year. Way to go Ozzie, I actually feel like we can win with this. Chi White Sox AB R H RBI HR BB K SB LOB Season Avg A. Ramirez ss 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .222 G. Beckham 2b 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .221 A. Jones rf 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .259 P. Konerko 1b 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 .292 A. 3. I will refrain from using google translator to translate all of Ozzie's spanish twitter posts to english.
  4. QUOTE (DGSOXFan14 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 05:34 PM) Saw this and thought I would pass it along. I for one am a huge fan of Jenks and likes the decision to slow himself down to make himself an all around pitcher. That will go a long way to the length of his career. This is a wonderful decision for any ball player in my opinion and I was just wondering what you guys think of this and how it may or may not affect him in the future... Jenks Quits Drinking Insert fat joke here......
  5. This is probably old news that's probably already been posted, but a quote from Ozzie on Joe Cowley's twitter. Oz on Damon: "I knew when A.J. was hanging around him we weren't going to get him." Classic Ozzie
  6. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 01:33 PM) Thunderbolt, Jones hit 17 home runs in limited at-bats in Texas. If he had 500 at-bats, he whould've hit 25 homers easily. With the exception of his abysmal batting average last year, his hr/rbi numbers would probably look pretty good if he played 140-150 games. Those numbers are also against pitching he's never seen before. Even though Jason Bay did his .293 in his short time with the red sox after being traded in '08, but they can't all be winners!
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 09:32 AM) I find it funny that I am reading that Soxtalk is now drinking the Kool-Aid since we passed on Damon. Three days ago we were screwed without Damon, now he's on the Tigers so Jones will be Comeback Player of the Year. I find it hard not to be optimistic about a guy with so much potential. Same with Rios. Yes Rios had a pretty much awful year all of last year, but you know what kind a special player that he can be, especially in CF. Jones just needs to stay healthy, and with him in shape I don't see that being much of an issue. If we can get Joe Crede numbers out of him, and have him get hits in crucial situations, he'll be successful.
  8. I hope Thome does really really well on a bad team and he joins the 600 club. I hope Damon's midget arm falls off throwing to his cut off man.
  9. I really want to be in a soxtalk fantasy league. By the way, I just popped my soxtalk cherry.
