  1. Steamer is also projecting Rodon to pitch 1 inning in 2020, and give up 1 run and somehow have a 4.75ERA. Not sure how that is mathematically possible.
  2. i was having problems as recently as friday with my iphone.
  3. surprised no one commented about KW's son having a "special assignment" role. There was also another Williams who had a position out in Lisle, but I dont think she's related.
  4. Slow day, so I thought I'd start this. See below. Taken from https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/team/front-office Special Assistant to the Senior VP/General Manager Jim Thome Special Assistant to Baseball Operations Jose Contreras Special Assignment, Baseball Operations Ken Williams Jr. Special Consultant, Business Operations Frank Thomas Manager of Youth Baseball Operations - LaGrange Dan Pasqua Community Relations Representatives Harold Baines, John Cangelosi, Carlton Fisk, Ken Harrelson, Bo Jackson, Ron Kittle, Carlos May, Bill Melton, Donn Pall, A.J. 5. Possibly. But I was thinking more along the lines of playing hard, staying out of trouble, being good with the media, respecting the game. Keeping some of them from potentially going down the Yasail Puig road.
  6. I like this move. Shows loyalty to a solid player. Sox arent hurting for cash. He's a great role model for Yoan, Eloy and others. $14 million puts him in Jay Bruce, Josh Reddick, Mark Trumbo and Lorenzo Cain territory,
  7. Number of 1st Round Draft Pick All Stars Per Year 2015= 2 (#2 and #24) Sox picked #8 (Fulmer) 2014= 3 (#7, #10 and #25) Sox picked #3 (Rodon) 2013= 2= (#2 and #9) Sox picked #17 (Anderson) 2012= 7 (#1, #10, #11, #16, #18, #19, #22) Sox picked #13 (Hawkins) 2011= 9 (#1, #3, #6, #8, #9, #11, #14, #18, #29) Sox had no pick? 2010= 8 (#1, #3, #5, #7, #12, #13, #19 and #23) Sox picked #13 (Sale) Covey was picked #14 but didnt sign. Yelich was #23 Not saying be an all star is the be all, end all of success, but only 16/60 Top 10 picks from 2010-2015 achieved this so far. And since 2012, of all of the current All stars (14) the Sox passed on 8 of them. - Walker Buehler - Aaron Nola - Michael Conforto - Matt Chapman - Lucas Giolito - Corey Seager - Michael Wacha - Marcus Stroman
  8. does anyone know why Tim Anderson's .331 batting average isnt "qualifying" on the league leaders charts? I originally thought it was due to his limited AB's due to the injury (he has 359) but Luke Voit is listed on the chart at #11 with just 349 AB's. This is per the ESPN board which also lists Yoan at #2 in Average. (372 AB's) on the MLB board, it also has Voit listed, at #49. So they've included more, but still no Anderson. Is it % of games played and not an AB amount?
  9. if anyone is going and gets an extra Bobblehead, I'll trade you a Jose Abreu Silver Slugger Bobblehead from earlier in the Summer. (unopened) Thanks.
  10. With this pitching staff, having some quality defense can't hurt. Cease's last start would have been much different, if he had plays made behind him. That does mean something in the long run.
  11. It has to be Palka. Abreu needs a day off in the field every once in a while.
  12. Is it me or does it seem like the White Sox always sh*t the bed when they have a large crowd at home?
  13. Son of a bit*h. This video is not currently available due to local or national blackout restrictions. Please click "Learn More" if you require assistance.
  14. Thought this would be a fun thread to start. Who Won The Trade? Trade #1- Sox send Gio Gonzalez, Daniel Hagwood and Aaron Rowand to the Phillies for Jim Thome and Cash. Gonzalez and Hagwood never pitch for the Phillies. Rowand plays (2) years, hits .290 with 39HR and 136RBI. Thome plays (4) years for the Sox. Hits .265 with 134 HR and 369 RBI. Trade #2- Sox send Freddy Garcia to the Phillies for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez. Garcia only makes 11 starts for the Phillies going 1-5 with a 5.90ERA. Gonzalez never pitches for the Sox. Floyd goes 63-65 with a 4.22 ERA in 168 starts. Trade #3- Sox trade Gonzalez, Fautino De Los Santos and Ryan Sweeney to the A's for Nick Swisher. Gonzalez goes 38-32 with a 3.93 ERA in (4) seasons for the A's. De Los Santos goes 3-2 with a 4.21 ERA in (2) RP seasons. Sweeney hits .286 with 13 HR and 159RBI over (4) seasons with the A's. Swisher plays (1) season for the Sox, hitting .219 with 24HR and 69RBI's before being traded to the NYY.
  15. I’d take a 2016 April/May Mat Latos performance. 6-1 with a 4.00 ERA.
  16. Bobby Bonilla the hell out of these offers. 7 years $280 plus a $5 mil/yr kicker for the rest of their lives.
  17. He had the highest batting average on the team, for those with 100AB or more.
  18. Thanks. What I dont get, is when I actually answer the phone... no one is ever on the other line? It's always dead silence for 5-10 seconds. Time and Time again.
  19. So I probably get 5-10 calls a week, from cell phone #'s that are very similar to mine. Same area code and first 3 numbers. No one is ever on the other line and the more I block them in my iPhone, the more different numbers start to populate. One time I called the number back, and some girl answered saying she didnt call me and she's been getting return calls with questions like mine all day from other people. Any idea what this is all about???
