Law has a big write up on some HS/College players : Lindsey, Honeycutt, Yesavage, Rainer, Curiel, Sirota etc. My school is blocking my athletic so I can't share.

Listened to Eno Saris Podcast. Mentioned how Thorpe has been having trouble getting to 90mph on his fastball. Definitely worrisome!

I gave the trade a C+. This puts some pressure on the new development team to finish the progress on Zavala and Iriarte. That is the biggest concern I have with the trade. I'm willing and crossing my fingers Bannister, Barfield, and Janish are putting things in place that made them successful in previous stops.

Thorpe is scariest part of the deal. If he loses any more on the fastball velocity he will not make it as a starter. I’m fine with the other two pieces, but Thorpe as the headliner makes me pause.

Has anyone had their eyes yet on Jacob Gonzalez this Spring? I know Fangraphs mentioned how he worked on getting in better shape and possibly being opened to changes to his swing.

Great listen! Not surprising, how much Williams was involved in the draft room and going the conservative route. Looks like a great parting gift from Kenny with drafting Gonzalez. So glad that idiot is gone!

For 1 year of Burnes I think it’s a fair deal. Obviously Elias was trying to pawn off the same two players and I’m glad Getz said hell no to that return with the headliner of Ortiz.

Don’t have too much information on Mike Shirley’s #2 Asst Director of Amateur Scouting Charlie Guest. I know he was drafted and played for the White Sox around 20 years ago. What are the insiders thoughts on Guest’s competency (Skills/viewed by the league) as our #2?
