  1. I'm not all about the punishing. Besides, when someone has a major injury, they usually give you a steroid, or some other substance, to help it heal quicker. A good buddy of mine completely blew out his knee in football (ACL, MCL, everything), and they gave him a steroid for faster healing. It's what they do.
  2. I knew Braunie would have never taken roids. By the way, I'm in Kenosha and I hear a lot about the Brewers on a daily basis during the season and off-season, Braun had a bad calf injury, so he probably took something that he didn't know was banned for the pain.
  3. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 05:51 PM) KW said payroll still has to come down a bit. Money well spent on Frasor. Well, by that logic, the payroll is going to increase.... And we are obviously the "mystery team" in the Pujols derby.
  4. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) With Mark gone, seriously, burn the motherf***er down.
  5. QUOTE (Reddy @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 03:58 PM) blow. it. up. ^^ THIS IT'S GO TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! BLOW THIS MUTHERF*CKER UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. MB56, you were my favorite Sox player since Jim Parque left, and I will miss you. Cheers to having fun with the Marlins! Can't blame you for that payday! Long Live the King, Mark Buehrle! The city of Chicago [and Kenosha!] LOVES YOU MARK!
  7. QUOTE (Sockin @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) Buehrle to Marlins, 4 yrs, 58 mil. http://twitter.com/#!/Ken_Rosenthal/st...534133681561602 He's my favorite player, and I'm sad, but for that they can have him. Cheers MB56
  8. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) He mentioned a package that includes Brett Jackson and Vitters I remember when Cub fans where clamoring that Vitters was an elite prospect and going to be better than Beckham. Has any of that happened yet? No, he's taken a step back.
  9. Why do I have the strangest feeling that because the Sox are quiet on this front, Buehrle pulls a complete U-e and re-signs with us? It's when KW is the most quiet on a situation is when he does the most damage. Granted KW denied a Buehrle return, but we all know in KW's language it means "We want him back, and will exhaust all values to re-sign him."
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) Sounds like YOU need to buy a Rios jersey. That and Dunn. It's the same thing will my Dolphins jerseys, I have Marino, Ricky Williams, Culpepper, Chris Chambers, Ronnie Brown, Zach Thomas, and I'm really regretting getting my Brandon Marshall jersey this week.
  11. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) DKnobler DKnobler White Sox rebuilding: If they get what they want, Danks, Floyd, Quentin, Beckham all will be gone by opening day 1 minute ago Favorite Retweet Reply Why Beckham? That makes no sense. And what the hell, another one of my jerseys going to be dealt? I already lost my favorite player in MB56, and now my only other jersey is Beckham. Dammit.
  12. QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 05:38 PM) I never understood his batting stance. The funny thing about this is, my father also says I had a batting stance similar to his when I was in high school.
  13. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) After seeing a fair but not spectacular return for Santos, the more I think about it the more I'd like to see Viciedo shopped in an effort to bolster the rotation. Not only would that be a horrible idea, but it would go against the mindset we have now. Viciedo is pretty much as untouchable as it gets. Unless, of course, someone offers us Michael Stanton, or let's say, Ryan Braun.
  14. Honestly, I was somewhat dumbfounded at this trade, but I have read up on Molina before. Molina is a pretty good return for Santos, given the circumstances on what we did to acquire and groom Sergio under. Sergio, whom is a pretty dominant closer for the course of this year and partially in '10, is 28 years of age. This is when players start to hit their peak, and then even out over the course of the next few years. The, by the time you are early to mid 30s, you are all burnt out, unless you are Mariano Rivera and aren't human. Now, as for Molina, I absolutely LOVE getting a legit top 50 prospect in return. It is a good feeling when we can finally have some pretty good talent in our farm, which seems to be the case in the state we are right now. See here, Molina is a control pitcher, with excellent peripherals, and gives up little-to-nothing in the HR/9 category. I believe it is .6 HR/9 for his minor league career in 292 2/3 IP; 255H; 8.5K/9, and 1.5 BB/9 for his career, with also a high ground ball rate. I mean, ffs, the man has a minor league career FIP of 2.27, and a minor league career BAIP of .327, which necessarily isn't a bad thing, according to his stats he just puts the ball in play more, case in point him being a pretty extreme ground ball pitcher. I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited for this kid. He's now my favorite Sox prospect aside from Addison Reed.
  15. Farewell, MB56. It will be odd seeing you pitch for another team, as you have been my favorite player ever since Jim Parque had left. Best of luck, my friend.
