You think I'm a troll just because I'm not looking at Moncada through rose colored glasses? Wow... I don't know what to say about that. Did you ever see Durham play? If you think comparing Moncada to him is an insult to Yoan, then you OBVIOUSLY never did. Ray was a damn good player. He was an exciting player, and he was a fun player to watch. I see all of those attributes potentially in Yoan, but I just don't see the potential superstardom that many others see. I could be wrong, but only time will tell.

After watching Yoan for almost a year, I see him potentially having a ceiling similar to that of Ray Durham. I'd be happy with that.

The possibility of a sign and flip was the only thing I EVER liked about the Castillo signing in the first place (and the way he's played this year, we weren't going to get much in return for him anyway). Luckily, we have a Catcher at AAA who has Major League experience and knows our pitching staff quite well. Just our luck, he hits the DL right as this happens. Baseball can be a cruel game. I believe Stoney once said that Smith and Giolito have developed a rapport with one another. I'm starting to think that most of Giolito's problems are mental, and I wonder if having "his catcher" behind the dish would put him at ease? Hopefully we'll find out soon.

In 2017, Lucas averaged 2.4 BB/9 IP. In 2018 he's averaging 6.9 BB/9 IP. I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize it was this bad.

I would love to see Matt's average with a beard vs. without. It's probably just a strange ass coincidence, but he seems to be a better hitter when he's clean shaven. 😀
