  1. This is why Greg is the GOAT and I'm merely a dollar store version of him, if that.
  2. What the hell is this supposed to mean? My motto is fair and balanced.
  3. He teaches philosophy. He's a philosopher.
  4. @greg775 get ready for an "opener". Couple innings them he's out!
  5. Wow I didn't realize Drew Thorpe is related to the great Jim Thorpe. Genetics go a long way in baseball. I think he'll be good.
  6. Please. Chicago is a world class city with problems. Baltimore is simply a city with problems. They aren't in the same stratosphere.
  7. Enjoy the gigantic dump that is Baltimore! It's probably even dumpier without Omar and Daniels.
  8. This is a huge loss in the sports media industry!
  9. @Kalapse get going you lazy f***
  10. How do they manage to look bad defensively when they basically acquired a bunch of defensive specialists?
  11. The guy could be looking at a presidential run in 2028 if he wants.
  12. I said this earlier, but I'm assuming he won't get everything he asks for. Even if he gets some of what he is asking for and gets the ball rolling, that will likely be VERY attractive for a prospective buyer. I hope this is all a play to increase the sale price of the team and add to his legacy. Sell the team off right when it gets the green light. There are much richer people put there that can cover more.thsb what Jerry is willing to cover.
  13. Jerry's ability to take this on at the age of 87 is really impressive. He likely won't be alive when the park gets completed. Is this a plan to increase the value of his team before selling? If he gets everything approved, a team with a future new ballpark/baseball village in a great area would be extremely attractive to a potential buyer.
  14. Just kick the can down the road and GET THIS DONE at ALL COSTS! How naive can Pritzker and Johnson be? Don't they understand this is how it works in this city/state?
  15. Just lol if you think Keith Law doesn't hate the White Sox
  16. That's only if it is shot literally DIRECTLY up into the air, without any angle. In that scenario you only have gravity pushing down and then the drag of the air pushing up and limiting it to terminal velocity. Basically impossible to shoot it directly up, and if you didn't would land close to where it was fired. If it is shot on an angle, it still keeps the horizontal velocity and would be much faster, depending on the angle.
