  1. You said the FO needs to step in before he alienates the team. He already has alienated the team. That is extremely evident over the last 48 hours.
  2. The Alex Colome with -0.8 WAR, 1.50 WHIP who is now pitching in low leverage situations and lost his closing job cause he was terrible and blew 3 saves? That guy?
  3. Before? Oh, this shit is alienated.
  4. I just hope to all hell this is a 1 year thing, and TLR walks away. The Sox are very very likely a playoff team (80% per FG) so I jsut don't see him getting fired after a playoff appearance if things calm down, but maybe he just keeps making asshat comments weekly to the point that he leaves the org no choice. It sucks to hope for clubhouse turmoil, but that is probably our best chance at a normal manager in 22.
  5. How does that garner a laugh? People are crazy if they think that game was on Hendriks. Bummer gave up 3 runs, including a lead-off walk in the 8th and lead-off single in the 9th. Gave up the game tying home run to a guy with 2 previous homers in the game on a pitch that never should have been in the zone. Liam comes in with Bummer's man at first and gets two outs while he's clearly fighting his footing. Gives up 1 hit after retiring 2 batters and Bummer's runner scores and its his fault? Obviously I wish he retired Polanco, but that loss was on Bummer and the Sox offense for going dormant after 3. Yes, I think Hendriks can and should be better than he has been as a whole, but that game last night isn't on him.
  6. It means he thinks his opinion trumps all.
  7. Can he get banned for betting? Someone tag Manfred!
  8. I think that’s probably obvious - I can only imagine Hahn’s thoughts on all this. That being said - was something said that made you say this, or are you just feeling like there is no way the front office is in support of this bozo.
  9. Lol, brilliant. You should propose that to Manfred. He’s crazy enough he may go for it! 😂
  10. Ehhh. I wish he wouldn’t have given up the hit to Polanco, and would agree he’s maybe been slightly disappointing overall. But I’m not overly concerned,no.
  11. Wasn’t really his fault tonight. Bummer was at fault for that one IMO. Need good Gio tomorrow. Pretty please.
  12. I didn’t say anything about wishing death.
  13. Well that game sucked. Go get em tomorrow.
  14. Jesus. Only TLR can make a 16-4 laugher into a clubhouse controversy. At least all the players seem to be on Yermin's side.
  15. The Sox don't have the best record in the AL because of TLR. They'd likely have 27-29 wins with someone else running the show. He's cost them multiple games. He's just so out of place on this team. They need a young, spunky manager that supports the swagger and the way they play. Not this old crochety bag.
  16. Like...I just don't see any other way this isn't a multi-year thing. Its either he steps away, or he's here until he can't physcially do it any more. He's never getting fired, and the Sox are going to be good, so they won't move on do to poor performance. Health issues is the only way. Its terrible, but man he's just such a debbie downer on what would otherwise be a super-fun, swaggy and new-age team. I literally hate him. Its terrible.
  17. I am not one to wish ill will or health on someone, but man. That might be what it takes to make this TLR experiment as short as possible. I would literally take ANYONE over him.
  18. Why not? Can just slide TA to catcher if need be.
  19. Ehhh, its whatever. Pick your posion with Lamb or Hamilton - one was going to play. Batting his 2nd is super dumb tho. I am glad to see Yermin is playing.
  20. I mean, I think TLR's quote about Tatis' swinging 3-0 in a blow out last year make it pretty obvious what his take on the matter is. I am sure he was out of the dugout shaking his fist at Yermin and I am sure Yermin got a scolding. Its super fucking stupid, but here we are with an old school manager. This will all blow over by the time we get to NY, and hopefully we can avoid a beanball contest today over a kid who was just doing his job and DGAF about old school sportsmanship when he didn't know if he'd ever get a real chance in the majors mere weeks ago. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/08/22/baseball-unwritten-rules-fernando-tatis-jr/
  21. Hope you enjoyed the game! Certainly not the full Target Field experiences with most of the non-generic vendors closed, but what a beautiful night it was!
  22. Hmmmm. 6 foot 9 260 man recalled to be the sacrificial lamb?
