i think it's safe to say, and we should all agree, that the White Sox should just move on. the Orioles are asking WAY too much and we shouldn't give up anyone for a 1 year rental. if the Sox were contending for a WS title next season and had a stacked farm system, maybe. but we all know that's not our present-day reality.

The Orioles don't expect to re-sign Machado, so they appear willing to seriously consider offers from interested teams. No word on which team might have the advantage in trade talks, but the Cardinals have been mentioned as a possibility. One interesting side note from Rosenthal is that Machado wants to move to shortstop for his final year before free agency. Dec 12 - 12:35 PM interesting.

OMG he JUST turned 22 years old everyone!!! give the kid some time to make his own adjustments at the MLB level. he's not even CLOSE to being in the "prime" years of his baseball career, so to say he's a "borderline all-star" is ridiculous at this point of his major league career.

if the Yanks aren't giving up Sanchez and/or Torres as one of the pieces why are we talking to them again? is their farm system THAT loaded with other prospects the Sox would be interested in acquiring?
