  1. Suck it losers!!! And have now taken their first series of the year. Much better than last season's 1-3 start at Anaheim.
  2. Not to be the Debbie downer but I really don't know what to expect from Kopech today. His last outing in ST was awful! No control. Couldn't even finish the 2nd before being pulled and then coming back out in the 3rd for more work.
  3. They will not trade Moncada unless they get an absolute haul. I want Moncada on the field and in the lineup every single day. He is one of the 3 best 3rd baseman in the American league.
  4. Stoney was saying there will be an unprecedented amount of injuries to pitchers this season because of the short ST. "Spring training is for the pitchers not the hitters."
  5. Hopefully that's all it is a start or 2 missed. I really don't want to redo last season with the "Next Man Up" war cry or the Mt. Rushmore collage of faces that kept growing all year to injuries.
  6. Speaking of rally killing, hopefully some of the contact that Eloy makes today are fly balls, line drives, gappers. I was a little shocked by all the ground balls he hit yesterday.
  7. It's a different twins team for sure compared to last season. Not really sure where I would even rank them in the Central?
  8. Losing Crochet is the one that can not be replaced. That will sting this year. He gives you a look that no one else can. Those are very uncomfortable at bats with him. Let alone the innings and relief he gives out of the pen.
  9. What!? Caulfield, you finally have a short post that is less than 3 paragraphs and this is what you say?
  10. Velasquez as a 5th starter absolutely ugly. Now I understand the urgency in TLR's "hopefully soon" comment regarding how long until Cueto joins this team from AAA.
  11. I was wondering. I take it that doesn't happen too often?
  12. I thought Tanner looked decent when I saw him at the beginning of ST. Although pitchers generally have the advantage over hitters in the beginning.
  13. Good for Dedelow. This kid is from my neck of the woods. I've followed him thru high school and at IU. A doubles hitting machine!
  14. I do think Keuchel has a few games in him but you may be right.
  15. Wouldn't be surprised if the Sox still explore other possibilities. Always interesting when a fly ball pitcher pitches at GR field
  16. I 100% agree with this. They will absolutely run the danger of over using the bullpen this first month- as will alot of clubs. In addition to whatever pitcher the Sox aquire they surely will be running the likes of Tanner Banks, Bilous, Vargas, and of course Jimmy Lambert back and forth from Charlotte. It'll be survivor mode. Whatever needs to be done to manage the pitching depth this first 6 - 8 weeks.
  17. Stoney said on the broadcast Saturday that Lopez is looking good FWIW.
  18. No just an educated guess. My "in guy" for the organization has moved on. Now I depend on the foodies and the rest of you for news.
  19. Through FA or a trade the Sox will be adding a starter in the next 48 hrs.
  20. I don't know which one I'm more excited for - Dash: Thompson, Dahlquist, Burke, Colas, Ramos, Hachenberg -Cannonballers: Kelley, Vera, Montgomery, Katz
  21. It really has been one of the more entertaining threads in a long time. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to unsee this whenever this kid is playing.
