vs LHP's I'd have McCann play C, especially with Giolito pitching. Grandal can sit his ass on the bench.

Eloy at DH, McCann at C. Make it happen

I'm not sure I see the logic of not playing Grandal against LHP. He's got a .269/.400/.500, 145 wRC+ line this year against LHP. Granted it's only 35 PAs.

This would be my lineup Vs. LHP if Eloy is capable of playing LF,

    1. TA SS .458/.509/1.021, 1.530OPS, 307 wRC+, 53 PA

    2. Grandal DH .269/.400/.500, .900 OPS, 145wRC+, 35 PA

    3. Abreu 1B .255/.309/.569, .878 OPS, 135wRC+, 55 PA

    4. Eloy LF .289/.304/.556, .860 OPS, 132 wRC+ , 46 PA

    5. McCann C .429/.528/.714 1.242 OPS, 236wRC+ 36 PA

    6. Moncada 3B .229/.364/.343, .706 OPS, 105wRC+, 44 PA

    7. Robert CF .262/.347/.452, .799 OPS, 120 wRC+, 49 PA

    8. Engel RF .313/.353/.438, .790 OPS, 121 wRC+, 34 PA

    9.  Madrigal 2B .238/.238/.238, .476 OPS, 29 wRC+, 21 PA

    Bench

    Leury .500/.500/.875, 1.375 OPS, 281 wRC+, 8 PA

    Encarnacion .125/.263/.438, .701 OPS, 90 wRC+, 39 PA

    Mazara .286/.348/.333, .681 OPS, 95 wRC+, 23 PA

This lineup is way better than those Indians teams- and those teams were sick.  This is potentially the greatest lineup ever assembled once Vaughn gets here.

Maybe 2022 goes down in the history books

I love the lineup we have now, but those 90s Indians teams were very good.

    C - Alomar Jr

    1B - Sorrento/Franco/Thome

    2B - Baerga/Alomar/Tony Fernandez

    SS - Vizquel

    3B - Thome/Matt Williams/Fryman

    LF - Belle/Giles

    CF - Lofton/Grissom

    RF - Manny

    DH - Murray/Justice

  3. If MLB wants to show they actually take this cheating as a team seriously, they should take away Houston’s 2020-2023 1st through 5th round picks in the MLB draft and the pool $ that comes with it. They should also ban them from International Signings for 4 years.

MLB needs to come down extremely hard on them, or you just encourage others to do the same.

  4. Madrigal at AA/AAA this season (not including tonight)

    65 G, 287 PA, .329/.394/.438, .832 OPS, 135 wRC+, 9.1 BB%, 3.5 K%, .336 BABIP, 51 R (that would be on pace for 127 over 162 games), 26 RBI, 18 SB, 8 CS, 16 2Bs, 3 3Bs, 2 HR. 26 BB. 10 K.

  5. Gavin Sheets has certainly turned it around at AA. In his last 75 games 314 PA, (not including tonight) he's at .298/.376/.502, .878 OPS, 155 wRC+, .322 BABIP, 13 HR, 15 2B, 33 BB, 51 K, 10.5% BB%, 16.2% K%.

    Also, Collins since demotion (not including tonight): 32 G, 136 PA, .351/.456/.685, 1.141 OPS, 185 wRC+, .370 BABIP, 9 HR, 10 2B, 31 RBI, 22 R, 21 BB (15.4%), 21 K (16.9%). Love the K rate going down, down, down.

anyone have a count on what Collins' line is since he was sent down?

    Collins AAA stats/splits

Prior to being called up to MLB

    50 G, 206 PA, .250/.374/.482, .855 OPS, .337 BABIP, 115 wRC+, 9 HR, 9 2B, 17.5 BB%, 32.0% K%,

After demotion (including today's # except wRC+ which will go up after today)

    24 G, 107 PA, .364/.458/.693, 1.151 OPS, .391 BABIP, 181 wRC+, 7 HR, 8 2B, 14.02 BB%, 17.76 K%.

Look at his K% since being demoted. It has never been this good in his entire time in the Sox organization. The wRC+ doesn't include today's game.
