  1. 3rd leadoff walk. Let's see if we can go 0/3 (not that it's much of a challenge for our offense).
  2. So, presumably Avi was running on 3-2 because it was a hit and run situation. If that's the case, why the f*** is Soto not swinging? Is he ignoring signs? If so, I don't expect him in the lineup much longer.
  3. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 08:51 PM) Why the f*** does this team keep trying to run?? Maybe conventional wisdom is tricking Robin into believing that a team this incapable of power would be good at stealing bases.
  4. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 08:50 PM) Because it's terrible. As is his baserunning. STOP TRYING TO STEAL BASES AVI YOU CAN'T DO IT. In his defense, this is more of a management problem IMO. I don't think Avi is going rogue -- he is being told to run. That's terrible management, not Avi.
  5. The Sox are fortunate to get out of those two innings with only allowing one run (then again, given a competent defense, the game could be tied).
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 05:10 PM) I agree with shaking things up but having 2 bench players hit 1-2 in the lineup? I can't imagine many teams do that throughout the year I can't imagine they do either, but the White Sox offense is unimaginably bad. The White Sox are 30th in offensive WAR (with -1.4, the only team in the negatives), 29th in wOBA, 28th in Runs, 28th in Home Runs, 28th in Stolen Bases (and 30th in Stolen Base percentage), 30th in isolated power, and 26th in BB%, and (by far our best offensive metric) 22nd in batting average. There are teams that are arguably worse at certain facets of the offensive game, but there is no other team that has been so awful at so many components put together. Shuck has shown some promising ability lately, when Avi was out, and Boni was pretty solid at the top of the lineup for the Cubs at the beginning of last year. If they flop, they flop, but it's absolutely worth a try.
  7. OFFENSE! I forgot what it looked like. Luckily Tyler Flowers is up soon, I don't want to get too excited or anything here. Hopefully Robin doesn't bring Robertson in for the 9th here.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 09:32 PM) Obviously you haven't looked at his splits. Yikes. 7.98 FIP. That being said, his career splits are still about what you'd expect (full point xFIP and FIP improvement vs lefties, .15 WHIP improvement vs lefties) in terms of R/L splits, and it was more of a reaction to his inability to pitch in extended relief (in many cases, even an inning).
  9. Good to see Ventura using Duke as a LOOGY. That's all he's shown he's capable of being, so far...
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 09:23 PM) How was their batter's interference against Tyler Flowers if he was already at 1B and Bonifacio was hitting? Wasn't the interference against Bonifacio?
  11. Alexei with the good old Baltimore chop. Better than actually trying to hit it.
  12. Already at 73 pitches. These Astro's take good at-bats.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:08 PM) what was the surgery? I didn't see another pirate patch I think it was on his eye again. I guess the extra time helped avoid a patch?
  14. Hawk about to have another heart attack
  15. Keuchel's slider command is off today. If only we had a competent offense capable of exploiting that.
  16. Bases loaded, nobody out. 0 runs. The only shocking part is how utterly unsurprising this is.
  17. At least he had the right idea, and he was close to executing, but Springer has a cannon for an arm and Avi makes Konerko look like a speed demon. Flowers will probably just hit into a double play.
  18. Being a Flowers apologist could be fun. "Guys, you don't get it, it was all part of his plan to up Carlos' strikeout total... and pitch framing!!1"
  19. Flowers being just as worthless as ever.
  20. Keuchel's slider has some zip, but right now we're just making it easy for him. 7 pitches lol.
  21. That inning was all kinds of pathetic
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 29, 2015 -> 08:52 PM) I don't know why people keep acting like Soto is anything other than "Worse with the bat than Flowers" Soto can hit a fastball down the middle.
  23. lol the Sox offense is pathetic. second time tonight the bases have been loaded and we can't do anything about it
