  1. It is shocking how many Sox players are in the last 3 months of their major league careers.
  2. Sox go 4-0 in the minors. Clutch bullpen performances by Adler and Gil Luna. Gonzalez 3-4. 3 bb for Zavala.
  3. I will never figure out why he is so bad in the majors. I get that Charlotte is a launching pad, but so is GRF.
  4. Sosa is the greatest AAA player in Sox history. 3-4 tonight, triple short of the cycle.
  5. Tatum with a long HR. 3-0 Barons.
  6. He is a spellcheck nightmare.
  7. My Bush strikes out the side in the 2nd. He looks crisp.
  8. MacDougal dealing for the Dash. 7Ks so far thru 4
  9. RBI single for Baldwin. He is currently hitting .431
  10. No. It's early, but so far the stars there have been the pitchers, Quero, Baldwin, and Terrell Tatum.
  11. For the record, Quero has to be added to the roster within 5 years of January 2021, so no. But it is hardly a waste of a 40 man space to have your starting catcher on the roster. Stassi and Maldonado are gonna be gone as are Moncada, Eloy, DeJong, Lopez, Pillar, Grossman, Clevinger, Hill, and many others. There's gonna be room.
  12. From what I've seen, he's forcing the issue. Guys tell you when they're ready. We're 15 games into the season, so it's early, but he looks like what future major leaguers are supposed to look like.
  13. Here's a prediction: Stassi never catches an inning in Chicago. I could see Chuckie Robinson coming up once Maldonado is named manager. 😉 Quero is coming pretty fast. I believe he will get a cup of coffee in September.
  14. BA listed Quero as one of the hottest players according to statcast data: https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/roboscouts-mlb-prospects-with-intriguing-april-data/
  15. Martin Maldonado, just to get him to retire. Let him hav a pitch com so he can put down the fingers and not attempt everything he can no longer do.
  16. In the late 80s early 90s when they had VanSlyke, Bonds, and Bonilla, they were pretty good. Since then I agree they have floundered, but those teams were competitive.
  17. 1. Condon 2. Caglianone 3. Burns 4. Bazzana 5. Montgomery 6. Smith 7. Kurtz 8. Wetherholt 9. Griffin. 10. Yeasavage 11. Rainer
  18. Quero 3 run walk off BOMB.
  19. In the second game, Mason Adams continues to impress. He's giving up 1 run. Sadly, Barons have squandered opportunities and trail 1-0. Baldwin 2-2, currently hitting .426.
  20. Taylor walks off the Dash with a 3-run shot. He looks pretty darn good.
  21. Adisyn Coffey looks like he has put it together this year. He's a real possibility for the Sox after they finally understand the value of relievers who still have minor league options left.
  22. Eder got stronger as the game went on. Struck out the first 2 guys in the fifth then looked like he had the 3rd guy struck out, but the ump wouldn't call it. Infield hit on a ball that demonstrates why Baldwin projects better at second. Eder hit his pitch count and exited with 4.2 IP.
  23. Pretty bad inning for Eder. 2bb 2 singles, including a hard hit ball from old friend Yolbert Sanchez.
  24. 2-2 now. Eder ended up walking a lefty in a 9-pitch at bat. Just does not have the stuff he once had to finish people.
