I think the Flexen DFA watch has begun. A ton of guys in the minors are better than him plus Clevinger and Keller.
-
HR Quero oppo-left center.
-
Baldwin just deeked a guy that a ball had gone into center and caught him off second. Love that guy.
-
At Charlotte he has clearly been the better of the two. He’s also a better defender and has experience in the outfield.
-
Remillard wasn’t even hitting in Charlotte. This may be the least talented Sox roster in my lifetime. A lifetime that has seen a lot of bad baseball. Happy to see Shaw go, though.
-
Is Curiel possible above slot in the second round?
-
Don't forget Ian Hamilton. He was a prospect for the Sox but had a lot of bad luck. Now he's a very useful player for the Yankees.

Because I have a problem, I just went over the Sox 2019 draft. I don't know if it is scouting or player development, but take a look at this disaster: 1. Andrew Vaughn 1b 2. Matthew Thompson rhp 3. Andrew Dalquist rhp 4. James Beard of 5. Dan Metzdorf rhp 6. Avery Weems lhp 7. Karan Patel rhp 8. Ivan Gonzalez, c 9 Nate Pawecyzk rhp 11. Victor Torres, c 12. Misael Gonzalez of 13. Cooper Bradford rhp 14. McKinley Moore rhp 15. Caleb Freeman rhp 16. DJ Gladney of/1b 17. Jeremiah Burke rhp 18. Sammy Peralta lhp 19. Joshua Rivera rhp 20. Cameron Simmons, of 21. Chase Solesky rhp 22. Logan Glass of 23. Paul Milito, rhp 24 Jakob Goldfarb c 25. Hansen Butler rhp 26. Justin Freeman rhp 27. Tyler Osik c 28. Caeden Trenkle of 29. Kaleb Roper rhp 30. Daniel Millwee c. The "successes" of the group are Vaughn, a below-league-average 1b, Thompson cuz you were able to trade him for a AAA reliever, Avery Weems cuz you were able to trade him as a throw in for Lance Lynn, McKinley Moore cuz you were able to trade him for since-released Adam Haseley, Caleb Freeman because he's still a fringe reliever prospect, DJ Gladney because he's a fringe corner prospect, Peralta because he pitched in the majors before getting DFA, Chase Solesky because he's been a decent org innings eater, and Daniel Millwee because he's a well-regarded minor league coach. That is not much. 2021, 2022, and 2023 look much better so there's hope for better days ahead. But you can't say the Sox are league average in either drafting or development.

Baldwin with a long oppo double. He really is an impressive player.
-
Ky Bush on the mound for the Barons. His stuff is much crisper than last year. Fastball looks very lively. Struggled throwing strikes in the first inning. 2 bb but no runs.
-
Pallette ended up giving 3 runs on 2 homers. Was not able to watch him, but a lot of Ks.
-
Aldrin Batista has 6 K's in 3IP for Kanny
-
I picked that because it's the dumbest option. Until proven otherwise, I predict they pick the dumbest option.
-
I bet they activate Stassi.
-
Nice for Jacob Gonzalez. That swing is night and day from last year. I'm keeping the optimism going.
-
I couldn't watch any of this game. I assume that's why they won. Happy for Fletcher. Stassi left the AAA game early. Is he getting called up for Moncada?! He's hitting .096 and the only position he plays is catcher.
-
Doesn't look like much, but last year that would have been a weak pop to the shortstop or left fielder. It actually makes me a little optimistic.
-
Eder can't catch a break in the 4th. Two infield hits on plays that probably should have been made. Gives up a second run. He looks better than last year, but not as dominant as he was pre-TJS.
-
2-out rbi single for Baldwin as well. Guy's a baseball player. Son of a coach. He helps the team wherever you put him.
-
It's early. I cannot wait to see his new swing. They do have him hitting 3rd, so he must have shown them something in the Spring. But, yeah, it would've been nice for him to get off to a better start.
-
Top 6 seem to be Condon, Bazzana, Caglianone, Burns, Smith, Montgomery, and probably Wetherholt if he stays healthy the rest of the way. Sox are going to get a good player. I wonder how they feel about the power guys. Personally I am Montgomery >Caglianone because you know he plays a quality rf. I am okay kinda with whoever falls to them.
-
He's not a high-ceiling guy, so I imagine he only becomes top 30 if he dominates in A+ or above.
-
It would just bounce off him for a HR.

Q: How many 35 year-old players does it take to finish last? White Sox: We don't know, but we're doing everything we can to find out.
