If you had no idea and just listened to John Schriffin, you would think the Sox were 21-3.
That's why the search was so extensive, unlike the GM search.

Carlos Santana looks totally washed up and has looked that way since 2020 with the exception of being passable last year.
So what you're trying to say is: he's the Sox DH next year.

Can't wait for the next 3rd tier free agents being sold as some sort of a prize.
Pull up list of free agents to be, look towards the bottom of the barrel, and that's where the White Sox will be shopping.

Just some random clubhouse raffle

Don't look up the 2025 Draft Order. So depressing to see the worst team drafting 10th haha

I understand the team has to play these games because of revenue, but this season is beyond ridiculous. It's not even laughable anymore. It's pathetic.
Remember there were posters here who actually believed this team is going to be better than expected before the season? I wonder how they feel now.

Wouldn't Pham be taking Leone's 40 man spot in that scenario? I believe Clevinger in starting in AAA this weekend (maybe even today).
Yeah he would be, but I was thinking if they still wanted an arm and if they were sending down Fletcher.
We'll just see what they do because it could be as simple as DFAing Grossman ha the 40-man relievers I looked at (that are even eligible to be called up) aren't doing too good haha

I doubt Sox will go a pitcher short and a 5-man bench. Still could play 60-day IL games with Davis Martin, if they wanted to burn the service time.
Well, sending Fletcher down and DFAing Leone would mean they could call up a reliever on the 40-man. That's the angle I was going for. Unless a guy like Clevinger could make a start tomorrow but I have not followed him at all.

I think he'll be up tomorrow. They've already said he's playing in AAA today. I am sure he'll handshake away the optout for a day.
Mentioned this in the fresh blood thread, but with Fletcher sitting 2 straight days against RHP and Pham playing CF in AAA, I actually would put my money on the Sox sending Fletcher down and keeping all the vets. Would have to find the 40 man space for Pham somewhere other than Pillar or Grossman tho, which could get interesting. Watch the Sox DFA Sosa to keep all these washed vets.
Seems like Fletcher then. Wouldn't mind Vaughn going down either.
Just don't know who the 40-man move would be.
Edit: wait, we still have Dominic Leone? Our BP is currently 9 deep so maybe this is the easy DFA.

Intentional, so Pham could move on to another team if the Sox didn’t call him up quickly, rather than be stuck in AAA with the Sox. But it’s not like Pham was hitting much in AAA. Maybe they go with him anyways because of his success last season and the fact that Grossman has been absolutely terrible.
Either way, Getz is looking pathetic with all this roster scrambling. Dude, it’s over. Accept it. You are setting records.
Whether you win 40 games or 50 games, it's still a shitty season.

Unlikely unfortunately.

Oh boy. The turnaround begins now.
Seems quick. Only 3 games in the minors? Guessing they probably DFA Grossman? (if they even want to add Pham that is)

Has an opt-out of today apparently.

Does anyone know the White Sox record for being shut out in a season? I believe 33 (being the worst of all time)is the cardinals record
Idk but I'm rooting for it. If they're going to be this level of bad, let's see some history.

Curious but I wonder if Jose has been battling some injury problem that has slowed him this spring ?
Could be. You figure he couldn't have fallen off THIS badly. His numbers are Maldonado-level bad.

He's still under contract for next year at 19.5M, but if he keeps this up he might wind up in DFA territory. Father time always wins.
Yeah I think once a contract is less than 2 years, you can start to justify DFAing him.
At least that's what I've been saying to myself about Benintendi lol that you're stuck with him until about June/July Year 4 of his deal.

Korey Lee has as many HR as Maldonado hits. After almost a month.

Wasn't his third start on short rest or something insane because they didn't have a fifth starter?
No. Pretty sure they added a bullpen game or had a rainout.

It’s almost like the fact he’s only averaged like 30 IP per year the last 6 year DOES matter.
