  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jan 29, 2017 -> 01:11 PM) Could be that kind of joke is poking fun at those players who thank God for everything. Religious jokes should be just as off limits as race jokes. And I am not very PC but people in the public eye need to be. Kopech is an interesting dude. He has a dry sense of humor and every time I saw him he was trying to make people laugh. I don't fault him for not being a seasoned pro quite yet, hell he's not even of legal drinking age yet. I have no problem with his comments.

    2015 TV Thread

Brian, I tried to search through this thread and you were the only person I saw mention Bloodline. I thought that first season was incredible. I know you said it was a little slow, but I just found an interview with Executive Producer Todd Kessler that addresses that: Whereas Season 1 was a slow burn, this upcoming season will move at a much faster pace. “We knew we were taking our time with the storytelling, and as the season progressed, it turns into a thriller. So in the second season, we’re no longer in that place,” Kessler said. I actually AM counting down the days until season 2. John Leguizamo has signed on. I'll be binge watching on May 27.
  3. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) Lot of sour grapes there. Absolutely. Glad to see a MAJOR victory for privacy. Gawker has been reckless for years, it was bound to catch up with them.
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 08:57 AM) We loved our time in St Lucia. Stayed at one of the three Sandals places on the island - you can then visit all three as you wish, there are shuttles. Mostly was fantastic, all-inclusive, but the food was kinda meh and you felt very disconnected from the local scene (which can be good and bad). Did some day trips to go sailing, took a boat to Martinique, went snorkeling, jeep tour, etc. A place we almost stayed was called Anse Chastenet, and that's where we'd stay if we went again. Sort of the opposite of a Sandals resort - smaller and secluded, more luxurious but also open rooms that blend into the scenery instead of boxy buildings, more local flavor. +1 The wife and I loved Sandles Grande St. Lucian. Went into it expecting 'meh' food, but were pleasantly surprised. I can't think of a bad meal that we had. But you should definitely see the rest of the island. We did a full day tour and also ziplined in the rain forest. Incredible experience.
  5. QUOTE (Dunt @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 08:21 PM) Parking at the Cell isnt an issue...at all. Not even sure how anyone can argue that it is. Easily accessible, plenty of spots everywhere, usually cheap (especially on Sunday's). Worse comes to worse, park on 31st and walk. Parking complaints on Opening Day is as much a tradition as fireworks after home runs.
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 26, 2015 -> 07:22 AM) When facial hair makes these guys worse at baseball, then I'll start caring about it. Me too.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 02:26 PM) I am sure it is up on the CBS/Score website podcast. I mean, it was stunning how poorly informed the both of them were. It was like they saw "JRW has title taken away" and just said OMG LITTLE LEAGUE HATES BLACK PEOPLE And the kids are being used as props. Just terrible Agree on everything. That press conference would have been hysterical if it wasn't so sad.
  8. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 3, 2015 -> 05:02 PM) If the Sox come out to techno music I will be super pissed off that's all I'll say. Quintana's never been to a Sox game. Somehow, according to Brooks, that helped him get the job.
  9. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 3, 2015 -> 04:45 PM) The Sox are going to be the same way they were with the Tanaka signing. Involved but far from a front runner. That's what I was thinking too. Give a token effort.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 22, 2015 -> 09:46 PM) Crean just invented the spread offense in basketball. When they can spread the floor, penetrate, and knock down shots like that, it's hard to stop. Great game from IU.
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 04:33 PM) That person will be the poster known as raBBit on here, by the way. I'm not the one going, though I'm jealous as hell. Thanks! Awesome! Have a great time, raBBit. Make sure you close down the hotel bar every night. That's where the stories are!
  12. Getting worked up over a dumb joke from Ricketts at cubs convention is not the way I want to spend my time. The Sox have a more family friendly experience at the ballpark. They are hoping that builds generations of fans. I'm sure you guys know as much as I do that if you mention anything positive about the Sox to a Cubs fan, the attendance joke gets used. "Abreu was awesome last year." "Too bad no one showed up to see him." "I have Sox season tickets." "Do they let you sit wherever you want?" "Kids have more fun at U.S. Cellular Field." “Can’t be that many kids having fun at U.S. Cellular." It's the same garbage they always fall back on, no matter the discussion. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 18, 2015 -> 08:23 PM) At this point they just wanna go inside and get out of their wet clothes. Their super bowl was last week. Nice season, nice playoff ride, but they need to get Luck some serious help.
  14. Good win from the Hoosiers. I've been all over Crean since the loss to Syracuse two years ago, but got to give them credit so far this year. They are finding ways to win.
