  1. Sale - Goes Quintana - Stays until deadline Robertson - Stays until deadline Fraizer - Goes Jones - Goes Abreu - Stays Melky - Stays Eaton - Stays Jennings - Stays
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Nov 24, 2016 -> 03:28 PM) Dont think you are getting both bregman and springer. Would take package starting with bregman and reed. Both younger and under control longer That's the package that get's me interested. Reed didn't do great in his call up this year in 120 ab's, but I watched him a lot last spring, and his power is very impressive. Ball just explodes off his bat when he connects. Still very young, only 23, and he made good contact in the minors with a good batting eye for balls and strikes. Bregman + Reed gives us 2/5 of our infield for the foreseeable future IMO.
  3. I'd just like one that wins consistently. Don't care how it's done.
  4. I think he goes to the Yanks for: Frazier Torres/Matteo Rutherford/Judge Acevedo Tate
  5. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) I honestly think they match up well with us. I posted this earlier, but I still think a Sale & Frazier for DeLeon, Bellinger, Verdugo, Calhoun, Alvarez, Barnes, & Sheffield deal would be a haul for us and something Friedman might do. I just don't get Barnes. The guy's going to be 27 before opening day this year. I don't see how he fits into a rebuilding plan.
  6. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 05:36 PM) Trea Turner, please! Giolito too And Robles
  7. QUOTE (striker @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 05:17 PM) I think everyone is smokin something. No way Sox get Pederson, De Leon, Bellinger AND Urias for Sale and Frazier. Sale is a great baseball player, but he's not worth your entire farm system and a major league CF. I could see De Leon, Bellinger, Verdugo and some younger guys. Has there been a pitcher in the history of the game that has the trade value Sale has? Sox don't NEED to trade Sale. They have him for 3 years in his prime with a ridiculously cheap contract over that time. Any trade for Sale has to be an absolute blockbuster type trade or else it just doesn't make any sense to trade him.
  8. Any Sale to Dodgers deal has to include Urias, Bellinger, and Verdugo IMO
  9. QUOTE (daggins @ Aug 7, 2016 -> 11:58 AM) White Sox sign JI JIM THOME to be new manager / DH / life coach White Sox hire Alex Rodriguez from Yankees to to be new DH / life coach / hitting instructor White Sox spring Lenny Dykstra from probation to be new GM / Treasurer / life coach White Sox hire Jose Canseco to run social media / DH / life coach Canseco should run our social media and be our teams weightlifting coach
  10. I wish Cashman was our GM. KW/Hahn are too clueless to read the tea leaves
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 02:25 PM) The Yankees have nothing in the pipe. Yankees have the best farm system in baseball.
  12. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 01:15 PM) Either that or DD is trying to keep Hahn and Kenny's attention focused on them and not on making deals with Boston's playoff competition. Obviously Yankees aren't a buyer right now, but I would happy to raid their farm system and deal Sale in the offseason. Sale for Frazier, Mateo, Judge, Rutherford, and Sheffield would be a nice haul
  13. QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 11:16 PM) One reason for stagnation over the past 10 years has been terrible scouting and talent evaluation. That resulted in bad trades and some wasted first round Draft picks like Beckham, Fulmer, Courtney Hawkins, Jared Mitchell. If better decisions had been made I have no doubt that Reinsdorf would have given management what they needed to get free agents to become competitive. Beckham was drafted in a weak class. Of the 2008 first round picks, he ranks 10th in WAR. Drafted at #8, he can't be viewed as a bad pick, especially based on what was drafted after him Fulmer has been in the system for a year now. He has some command issues but the potential is there. Jury is still out, so we'll see. Hawkins pretty much looks like a bust at this point. Seeing Wacha and Seager drafted after him hurts Mitchell is the biggest disappointment. Mike Trout going 2 picks later stings so bad.
  14. QUOTE (hi8is @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 04:14 AM) Oh, Peterson too Sounds good to me. Sale for Urias, De Leon, Bellinger, Puig, and Pederson. Get on it Hahn!
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 04:04 AM) We'll go ahead and take Puig off the hands for s***s and giggles too. I'm not sold on De Leon. Urias is definitely the key, but just him and De Leon isn't enough for me for Sale who's a top 5 pitcher in the game, who's only 27, and has a team friendly contract. That is worth a TON.
  16. Reading that the Dodgers are making a late push with a package around Urias and De Leon. If the Red Sox are unwilling to part with Moncada, I say you make the deal if you can add two of Bellinger, Calhoun, or Verdugo http://chavezravinefiends.sportsblog.com/p...chris-sale.html
  17. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 04:46 PM) For either Sale or Q, I'd want both Moncada and Jackie Bradley. And I doubt the Red Sox want to part with the latter while they're trying to get into the playoffs. I want Moncada, Benintendi and Devers. If those three are offered, I'm taking the deal for Sale no questions asked.
  18. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 5, 2016 -> 10:47 AM) What if this is Abreu being Abreu? He's been pretty bad since July/August last year, so perhaps the league has figured him out and this is the player that he will forever be. Then you fire your hitting coach and get someone who can correct his holes. He has too much natural talent to say that this is what he'll be forever.
  19. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 01:31 PM) Why does everyone like '98 Pedro? '99 Pedro might be the best season ever. I'll take '99 Pedro and '02 Bonds. EDIT: Honorable mention '68 Bob Gibson. 2000 Pedro was the best Pedro. .737 WHIP
  20. So for any player from any team, that would be pretty easy for me: 1923 Babe Ruth 1972 Steve Carlton Best player of all time that fills a need in RF (who cares how bad his defense is with that bat), and one of the best pitchers of the last 50 years in the most dominating season of the last 50 years IMO. For any historical White Sox I'd go with: 1971/1972 Wilbur Wood 1920 Shoeless Joe Jackson Wilbur allows that White Sox to legitimately go back to a 4 man rotation - Sale, Q, Rodon, Wood, with spot starts here and there from Johnson, Latos, Danks. Jackson fills the biggest need for the lineup and gives the team a high on base doubles hitter to plug into the 2 through 6 slots in the lineup.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 12:08 PM) Nate Rackley @RackleyNate @BenBadler Do you see either signing before the start of the 2016 season? If not, a timeframe? Ben Badler ‏@BenBadler 12m12 minutes ago No chance. Given MLB's pace, might not see Gurriels playing in games until 2017. One of the talking heads on MLB Network mentioned earlier he could see Yulieski playing in about 5 months or so (basically play the second half of the season) since he's not subject to the international signing guidelines. Lourdes he doesn't see getting signed until after October.
  22. Are you kidding? We really couldn't match the Mets offer for Cespedes? Honestly, what was the point in even trading for Frazier if not to actually try and field a full roster capable of making the playoffs? We have the worst outfield in the league.
