  1. It will most definitely be an Eloy or Moncada injury
  2. This is a foreign concept in the world of the Chicago White Sox.
  3. I think the problem stems from, if he made the bet, and then influenced the outcomes of games in some way by paying officials or other players. That's where we as fans of the game should probably care. If he didn't influence the game in any way through the bet making (or his interpreter...whatever the situation is), then you're right, who cares. But...we are talking about the 700 million dollar man here.
  4. Damn I really want to try one of those milkshakes. How does one get one of those without having to be in the stadium club, if that's possible?
  5. As shitty as we all know this team is probably going to be this year, how can you not be pumped for opening day. I still took Thursday and Friday off work. It's the one day every team starts at the same playing field...0 wins and 0 losses. Obviously over time the talent will show itself, but opening day will probably be the only day we Sox fans have even any false hope to hang on to, and April may be the only stretch of Sox baseball worth watching, until guys like Montgomery start coming up to the bigs. Relish it while you can, boys and girls.
  6. Also a "you can cancel the post-game show" button for how often their first hit will likely come in the 4th and 5th innings.
  7. Hopefully Nastrini ends up being a nice surprise as an anchor in this rotation for years to come. He's definitely earned his starting spot. OTOH, Jimenez 0-3. Definitely has sore balls. For sure.
  8. Keller will probably find his way in the rotation at some point. Even though the thought of that makes me want to barf.
  9. He is a literal magnet for injuries. If an injury is possible, Eloy will find a way to make it happen. They need to make the documentary "1,000 ways to injure yourself on a baseball field." Eloy will be the poster child for the project.
  10. Shouldn't pillar be at dh and fletcher in rf?
  11. He can open for all of em! f*** the arm!
  12. Very easy to correlate individual player performances to the overall performance of the team. Especially when you expected years dominance and got the exact opposite.
  13. I hate to be that guy, but this team has me so conditioned to expect failure. We've been rebuilding since 2013. Going on 11 years. Let the perpetual rebuild continue. Seriously though...this s%*# is sad. Cease, Kopech and Giolito should have been the 3-headed monster of a rotation on a team on top of the world for seasons to come. We were supposed to have a lineup for riddled with all stars, headlined by Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada, Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert, Jose Abreu, Yasmani Grandal. I was promised multiple championships. Yet, here we are. Same fucking place we were back in 2017. This scenario should never have needed to happen. Cease is going to be a MONSTER. I fully expect this organization to f*** it up again.
  14. The TLR saga has Jerry's fingerprints all over it. I don't even blame Tony. Why wouldn't he accept the job if Jerry was offering it. That entire fiasco was all Jerry's fault.
  15. I know spring results aren't supposed to be indicative of regular season results but...you have to take some of it into consideration. I mean, they are 1-8 in the last 9 games. The team has to at least feel like what it means to win. I have a feeling this team will barely win 50 games. It will truly be a historically awful season.
  16. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty sure I came up with that one. I remember the thread and it stuck. Only feather in my cap that I have and I'm proud of it haha.
  17. I wouldn't say he's getting ready to fold. More like his toddler-like screams for demanding he gets what he wants will only get louder and louder.
  18. Didn't the Bears purchase the land in Arlington Heights already? What the hell was the point of doing that if they aren't committing to building their stadium on it? Unless they are thinking of utilizing the land for something else to make a profit...or was that just wasted money on the part of the Bears. Make it make sense.
  19. I mean honestly, has anyone in management looked at his defensive numbers over the last 2 years? If he can even remotely hit the ball, then it MIGHT make sense, because this roster will need all the offensive help it can get, but if his bat flounders there is no need to keep him on the roster.
  20. The crazy, not-so-surprising thing is, so many people predicted this would happen. Like, it was comical at first, then slowly, it became a sad reality.
