  1. Such a terrible pitch there to Burger. Strider has been absolutely terrible today.
  2. Eddie Rosario is a solid hitter but I’d be really nervous about him being in my outfield in crucial games in October.
  3. Strider’s command is really not great tonight. Making a ton of mistakes with pitch location.
  4. Such a huge difference between these 3 run innings. Braves hit the ball out of the park and work counts and walks. Sox consistently reliant on luck and some weakly hit balls finding holes or dropping for their big innings.
  5. Basically every good Sox offensive inning requires incredible luck on weakly hit balls.
  6. Horrendous execution by Strider this inning on his 1-2 and 0-2 offerings.
  7. Absolutely loaded roster and most are locked up for years to come.
  8. Lol at Shaw even being on this team. He’s been trash and washed up for 6 years.
  9. It won’t matter but what an incredibly dumb play by Albies. You have a bad pitcher on the mound with awesome hitters coming up plus a catcher that sucks at throwing out runners. If anything just try to steal second.
  10. That wasn't even their second string. That was a C team at best. Mexico is using their best players (minus a couple of guys who are injured) in the Gold Cup in part because the US thoroughly destroyed them in Nations League last month. The USA sent a bunch of guys who won't be on their Copa America squad next year or even in the World Cup picture for 2026. Outside of the goaltenders, I'd be shocked if anyone who played on this team really factors in other than maybe one of the young players like Neal or Cowell if they really develop or Miles Robinson as a deep reserve center back.
  11. Yep. I remember having high hopes for that team but Samardzija was a total bust and looking back it is amazing how terrible the supporting case was in terms of the position players on that team.
  12. 2015 wasn't really a competitive year. But yes, KW likely looks at that team and tries to add for 2016 like he had a few times before. 2020 is the brutal one. Hahn is also lucky that was only a 60 game season because if that season is 162 games the Sox don't make the playoffs that year with the total lack of pitching depth and he would be looking at 1 playoff berth in 11 years of being a GM.
  13. Maybe. Or maybe he continues to struggle and plummets. There have been tons of guys over the years that looked like first round picks the year before their draft but had their stock tank and ended up nowhere near the first round. He’s a great 7th round and worth the gamble though.
  14. There is literally nothing more meaningless than these types of statements after a draft. Every team makes them in every sport.
  15. How signable is he? Seems like the type of guy that Sox won’t be able to develop at all but for a 7th round pick obviously the potential is insane.
  16. Injured and in this case major questions if he can be a starter even without the Tommy John
  17. Yep. And against a pitcher who had shown zero command at all the entire inning
  18. Yep. I thought it clearly hit him and I also doubt Walker is a good enough actor to immediately react the way he did if it didn’t hit him.
  19. Nolan Gorman single handedly won the Sox game 1 and if Sox win it’s because of Gorman today.
  20. Nolan Gorman with an atrocious approach in this at bat
  21. Another run due to Cardinals defense. The Cardinals are the dumbest and laziest team the Sox have played this year. Oakland and Kansas City are worse and less talented but holy crap this Cardinals team is an absolute joke.
  22. The Sox would have 2 runs this series against an absolutely atrocious Cardinals pitching staff if the Cardinals could make routine defensive plays.
  23. And lol at Marmol even bringing in Cabrera. Cabrera is a horrendous reliever and he was never going to face a left handed hitter
  24. Nolan Gorman has to have money on the Sox this series
